Historian Douglas Brinkley: Trump’s Interviews Show ‘Surreal Disarray’ and ‘Confused Mental State’

Most of us know that Mr Trump’s elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top, and almost daily experts are affirming that it’s a short trip indeed.

In an interview with Politico, Rice University history professor Douglas Brinkley, a well respected presidential historian, is also sounding the alarm about President Donald Trump’s mental state.

Brinkley analyzed the flurry of interviews that Trump conducted over the past two days and came away very concerned about how “confused” the president seemed throughout.

“It seems to be among the most bizarre recent 24 hours in American presidential history,” Brinkley told the publication. “It was all just surreal disarray and a confused mental state from the president.”

On Monday Trump said that Andrew Jackson was “very angry” about the American Civil War, despite the fact that Jackson had died 16 years before the war began; praised Philippines strongman Rodrigo Duterte for having “very high approval ratings” despite the fact that he’s been encouraging vigilantes to slaughter drug addicts in his country; floated raising the gas tax to pay for his infrastructure plan before quickly backing off; and angrily cut off CBS’s John Dickerson after the reporter pressed him for proof that he was illegally wiretapped by former President Obama.

The evidence is mounting, as it looks like millions of Deplorables cast their vote for an unhinged, reckless monster of a man, who is just feet away from a nuclear trigger that could plunge the world into darkness.

The congress, or whomever has the power, needs to remove this demented man before the unthinkable happens, whether through impeachment, a long and tedious process, or by exercising the 25th Amendment which was designed to remove an unfit president from office. Clearly this was designed for the man occupying the Oval in 2017. Get him out!
