How the Repeal of Obamacare Is A Great Show of Faith By the GOP

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that access to health care is a right. And since we staunch republicans demand adherence to the Judeo/Christian values of the Founding Fathers, who of course we copy by our use of the term “access to healthcare” as they used the term “divine providence” to convince the Cotton Mather types of the day that God loved them, it is only proper we we repeal Obamacare and dismantle any regulation or time honored practice of employer based health care with a return to faith.

If you vote republican and believe in The Almighty you know without question that Jesus cured Lazarus of death. All it took was a little faith. Very little perhaps as when Jesus finally got to Lazarus everyone told Him He was too late and Lazarus had been dead for days and his corpse was going to be be really smelly so you ought not go into his tomb. Just to show how little faith is needed Jesus opened the tomb anyway and walked out with Lazarus. A little faith would save us lots of money. And if some guy dies it’s God’s will no matter how much is spent on health care so there you go.

The poor, their liberal champions anyway, are decrying the wonderful ACHA as a boon for the rich and a death sentence for those with preexisting conditions. If the poor had any sense they would listen to the millionaire on talk radio every afternoon explaining how they can be millionaires like him on minimum wage if they practiced discipline and saved and tithed 10%. The man is a Christian millionaire so he must be worth listening to.

We listened to Dick Cheney and George W. Bush and we are all the better for it. We just have to give the wars and occupations more time like we’re giving reaganomics. Trust us white Christian millionaires and millionaire wannabes on this. Stay the course.

Estimates say 15 to 20 million people will lose their health insurance with the death of Obamacare. This is not a tragedy but an opportunity for them to take the money they save on premiums and invest it in the stock market that we republicans will deregulate so they can become millionaires on minimum wage salaries. They can use their tax cuts to invest also. And like Social Security that we like to run the numbers out 150 years or so to show how much it will cost, if all these minimum wagers save 10% of their pay for 150 years they will have lots of money. You can’t argue with the facts. And seeing as how Noah and a bunch of other guys from the Bible lived for 900 years, there is no reason to think with a strong faith minimum wagers can’t live that long either. And their 750 years of comfortable retirement living will be thanks to God and the republican party.

Many will make sport of my facts about old Bible dudes but even in recent history we have grand examples of God’s love and mercy being better than health insurance. The great Reverend Oral Roberts was to be called home by God and it wasn’t health insurance that saved him. It was faith, prayer and a rich friend who was touched by God. Prayer and faith cost nothing and they work better than Obamacare or Blue Cross or Aetna. Trust me and Paul Ryan on this. We wouldn’t lie to you.

The racism and misogyny are there and in depth, but sometimes it seems like love of hate itself and a transcendent hate that will find a subject no matter what. I’m searching for a word, but Schadenfreude doesn’t quite do. But the blue haired ladies and the cowboy hats and Church on Sunday crowds just love to see the shit beat out of somebody they can see as not their own.

It’s a sad situation for America but the truth is us repubs don’t have to get it together. Loyalty to the R and hatred of everything else rules. We just reelected a loon that body slammed a reporter in Montana. If the reporter had been a black guy the republican would have won by an even larger margin. I’ve beat myself up trying to figure out how to crack the code but it appears there is way more closet racism and misogony in America than I can imagine. The only way to get the apathetic about the system to vote is to run a black guy for president. No clue how to get these people to vote and participate any other way.

I am so glad we have you to keep us on track Joe. Very timely also. I was backsliding into that morass of progressive thinking again.

I am His modern day prophet. I should have said “profit” in keeping with my republicanism.

This certainly made my day. You are Right Joe, every single word you write is Right, of course, because it came straight from Jesus. Amen 🙂
