The Re-Nixonization Of America

Read Time:1 Minute, 49 Second

by Glenn R. Geist

It appears we are taking yet another step toward the re-nixonization of America. Us older folk will remember Tricky-D’s raving about law and order, the tying of police and prosecutorial hands, massively escalating crime linked to drugs and the need for draconian punishments and questionable methods of rooting out the outlaws. We had calls of “death to drug dealers” from some quarters as “hippies” became the new Communist Threat.

Things have changed since those days and substantially but Trump and that hissing snake Sessions now raving once again about protecting America against the massive swarms of lawless immigrants “pouring” across our wide open and unguarded borders and I’m tempted to append “yada – yada” to it all because it’s nearly endless, hyperbolic and somewhat lacking in honesty. Vicious and life ruining sentences for marijuana use are at the root of many of our social problems and our social divisions. They soak up huge amounts of money, they create a class of unemployable felons for whom crime may be the only option and of course they create profits for friends of Sessions.

Marijuana is legal in many places here and abroad and the mayhem of crime and sexual excess promised us since the late 1930s have not materialized although the goal of creating crime for the purpose of profitable enforcement of such laws has been met. No massive medical threat has appeared and although it’s difficult legally to study it, benefits are apparent as well. Sessions will not discuss it other than to hiss about “danger, danger” without evidence. Yes, crime is associated with illegal things just as Sessions is associated with fallacy. It’s meaningless emotional babble.

To some extent the other goal of providing a handle to allow expelling Hispanics has had traction and the suspicion is that’s behind this new, anachronistic, shockingly totalitarian, terroristic and totalitarian recrudescence.

Sessions has to go, unless we want the police state we feared during Nixon’s imperial presidency. We can’t allow the foul smell from Pennsylvania Ave to mask the sibilant hissing of the snake Sessions, slithering and waiting to strike at the heart of life, liberty and prosperity of the American people.

No, of course not. There’s nothing about his support that’s fact based so it’s immune to facts of any kind.

Yes, I’m pretty sure any friends he had there are sharpening their investigation picks and shovels now. It’s not hard to imagine him appointing one of his kids as director and shutting the place down
. Good thing he doesn’t have a horse lest he get inspired by Caligula.

Word is out that they’re going to pay special attention to this case and although some dinner meeting tapes would make Comey happy, those Russian piss tapes, if they exist, are going to be found, I’m willing to bet.

I can’t wait to see those piss tapes, but then again, even if they do go public it won’t make a bit of difference to Trump’s Deplorables or his personal congress.

Trump isn’t as smart, nor as cagey as Nixon, and that makes him easy prey. His latest attack on Comey has made him a powerful enemy. The FBI!
