In the Age of Trump the Threat Is God, Guns and Oligarchy

So what the hell did you think? Spend gazillions of untraceable money from invisible sources and it works. It works because we are a petty, ignorant and stupid country, so filled with anger we couldn’t think straight if we wanted to. Of course the Republicans won. It’s what has become of us, what we are now, like force fed geese.
My mailbox today is filled with more scandalous promises of videos proving that the move for impeachment is “Crooked Hillary” Click here before “they” take it down. It’s like giving free smack to junkies. I still see those bumper stickers with the Obama campaign logo containing a hammer and sickle. He’s a Communist, you see. the “change you can step in” banners and the stickers urging us to oppose “Obama’s Mosque” Did you think people forget this stuff? Did you think they care that none of it – not one thing, ever came true? Hell no! Trump is a goddamn saint who has done countless, amazing things to make us a great country. He’s “blessed” us says Reince and the nameless bloggers and emailers of dubious provenance. And if there’s any resistance at all, it’s all because of Crooked Hillary and that communist, fascist, Muslim Kenyan national now appearing on bumper stickers all over the Godforsaken hell hole they cynically call the United States.
Of course the death of that poor sap Warmbier was Obama’s fault and the threat from North Korea as a whole. It’s all Obama and there’s a scapegoat for everything. “Democrats are depressed,” says one headline. That’s a shadow of the truth and outside the cave Republicans are already feasting on the bleeding corpse of democracy. Propaganda works. It’s the only thing that does and if anyone is depressed, it’s because they’re foolish enough not to be either packing their bags or loading magazines. No matter what happens to Trump it’s over, it’s all finished. The threat we wasted half a century fighting was never Communism, the threat was god, guns and oligarchy. You’re welcome to it. Enjoy the greatness.
