Credit Bureaus! How much contempt can I put into words? The several times I’ve checked my credit reports I’ve found all kinds of errors: addresses I’ve never heard of an addresses that don’t actually exist. Apparently at my last address, I also lived in several neighbors’ houses too. I have all sorts of “aliases” including amalgams of my name and wife’s and relatives’ names and I’ve never been able to get them expunged. Their excuse is “it’s all public record” but the real cause is that they don’t give a damn.
They don’t work for you, they work for loan companies. And now we have the Experian hack – the result of not giving a damn again and failure to take action when it became clear their software was vulnerable. And isn’t it sweet that some execs sold their stock right before it all became public?
What kind of protection does the public have against this kind of tyranny? Exactly none and our so-called government has basically eliminated all such functions and agencies because once again, they don’t work for us, they work for the corporate aristocracy.
You assholes elected this gang, with your ignorant bullshit about Hillary and corporate interests. That’s right I said assholes and that’s the most polite way of putting it. Yeah, right, Hillary’s emails and all that crap bought and paid for by Russia and the Koch Brothers and the other vampires sucking on our blood. . Enjoy your damnation – you deserve it.

They don’t and I’m not sure how they got the right to assemble information and sell it, yet not let us have the rights to it or the right to be protected from errors.
I understand your frustration Glenn but the odds are that few who read this virtual magazine voted for Trump or any of the other Republicans. I am not real sure how these folks got the power they did but they sure as hell don’t deserve the anointed position they hold.
I had a similar experience with the credit creepers. Had a delinquent charge for a credit card I never owned. Wrote about 10 letters and still on there. Finally had to pay a lawyer $200 bucks to get it removed. Hate these corporate slugs.
So what’s for it Glenn? What can we do? Anything? I gave up, years ago, trying to get my ex-wife’s address off my fucking credit report. Letter, after letter, only about half acknowledged with “we;re investigating.” Seven years later it’s still fucking there. I give the fuck up. Excuse all the fucks but your article got me all fired up.
