DYLAN RATIGAN IS MY NEW HERO:KICKS TEA BAG LEADER OFF SHOW
MSNBC’s Dylan Ratigan just got tired of Republican obstructionism and Tea Bagger bullshit. On Tuesday afternoon, MSNBC host Dylan Ratigan got so upset with one of his guests, “Tea Party” leader Mark Williams, that he cut off his mic mid-interview, dispatching him off the air prematurely. Williams was on MSNBC talking about his upcoming Tea Party Express nationwide bus tour culminating in Washington, DC on tax day, and the conversation heated up almost as soon as the segment began. Watch this great video:

If you think d*bag Dylan Ratigan came off well in that exchange, you people are all idiots. God help this country and its educational system!
Spot on Oso! Missed it the first time around but the second time spotted the body language / eye rolling.
We live in dangerous times old bean.
Started out – from an English perspective and knowing neither of them – slightly sympathetic to the politician.
On second viewing I twigged it.
Now as America can assasinate people..historically speaking…just a thought – mind you don’t make the bastard a martyr!!!
I agree Oso, but I have an idea MSNBC is going to clip his wings. They may have more sense than Clusterfox but they don’t have the audacity…
Mike,
Dylan Ratigan is great. He knows his subject well too, speaks very knowledgeably about economic matters.
It was obvious from Williams eye-rolling that he’s an asshole and as someone pointed out Clusterfox gives the assholes an open forum; Ratigan just happens to conduct an honest program where people are expected to address the issues. Had Williams been unknown to Ratigan I’m certain he’d been given wide latitude, the fact is Ratigan doesn’t suffer fools. Good for him.
CDM : Now that is a very good point. He didn’t did he? He had the chance…albeit briefly…to give a simple quick answer. Ahhh! Yes. No wonder the interviewer unplugged him. It all went a wee bit too quick for this old fart. I didn’t quite register.
Surely America can stop the rise of the far right?
I bloody hope so anyroad.
If you can’t we’re all fucked.
Anyone know a good cave in the middle of nowhere? I’m movin’ in.
I wonder why Dylan is not at work today. MSNBC subbed Ed Schultz…Hmmmm….
Thanks, Stimpson! About 3 years of cartharsis and that’s all it is…’til I run for Congress.
@Complaint: “… it just sounds to me like they’re trying to justify an answer because it’s wrong in the first place.”
Funny, I hadn’t thought of it that way. Of course, it makes sense. If the true answer was a simple No, there would be no reason for the evasive, deflecting response.
Just checked out your blog, BTW, Complaint. I like it.
That douchebag Williams exudes a problem I have with politicians in general. They’re given a closed-ended question and they go on a long shpeal instead of giving the 1 word answer, THEN give their explanation. When I hear this kind of shit, it just sounds to me like they’re trying to justify an answer because it’s wrong in the first place.

I agree Holte. It is about time we did some ranting! Go Dylan!!
As far as I am concerned, the Teabagger leadership has used up all its free speech get-out-of-jail cards. Fox News gives them all the airtime they want, plus hate radio, for a small minority they get way too much facetime, they attempt to turn every TV appearance into a rant.
Sue writes with regard to Hannity’s orgasms when interviewing The Palin:
It’s true, and I bet the jerk even got his pink panties a little wet. That always happens when he mentions The Palins name…
ROFLMAO!!!
I just had another listen. The interviewer really should have let him speak. His expression and flippant remarks – when he managed to get any in – said enough for me. Nazis? Skinhead racists?
Sounds like the late 70’s over here!
Mind you we have seen an alarming increase in support for the BNP who have always been racist. Worryingly, Britains virtually ‘open border’ policy is pushing more and more to the right.
Very worrying trend seemingly ignored by our lot.
Least the interviewer wasn’t frightened to tell the politician what he thought!
Granted, Ratigan went off the rails a little in the first minute of that clip.
But here’s the thing: When somebody asks you (as Ratigan asked the teabagger) if your organization accepts Nazism or racism, the answer should always be a straightforward NO. Not ‘Over at some other place, someone said something offensive and she’s been promoted.’ Just a simple, straightforward NO. It’s a no-brainer.
If a guest isn’t interested in answering the questions put to him, he has no business being on. So hurray for Ratigan dispatching the teabagger.
I have no idea what the other chaps views actually were as the interviewer spoke over him and shouted him down before he could even answer.
Certainly we can’t have Nazis running around again. I think the world had enough of them in WWII, but I do believe in freedom of speech.
This chap didn’t even get to speak!
I’m now left with a view that the politician was the injured party. Had he been allowed to speak he may well have condemned himself and his party.
The interviewer allowed his own emotions to take over.
Unprofessional I thought – highly entertaining mind you!
“he does get a little mouthy sometimes and hard to keep up with because of all the shouting”
And the listener can’t understand what’s being said, so it defeats the purpose. I feel the same way about the McLaughlin Group. The sign of a good TV host is to know when to shut up and let the guest shoot himself in the foot.
I wish I could get MSNBC, I have to rely on tips, (like this) or searching YouTube. Ratigan certainly gave Mark Williams what he deserved.
I do understand where Dylan was going with this interview, but he does get a little mouthy sometimes and hard to keep up with because of all the shouting. I wish he wouldn’t shout. With that said, I love all the MSNBC hosts and we’re lucky to have the group with their intelligent shows, unlike idiot Hannity who on his show last night was arguing that Palin was SMARTER than President Obama! It’s true, and I bet the jerk even got his pink panties a little wet. That always happens when he mentions Palins name…
