Canadian Lake Monster Inspires Speculation

Read Time:41 Second

Reports from the remote community say a strange creature was pulled from a local creek earlier this month – a creature some are calling a monster.

Photos of the furry, bald-faced something were posted on the official website of the Big Trout Lake community and have since caused a flurry of speculation on the Internet.

According to the website, two local nurses were hiking near the creek when they noticed their dog sniffing something in the water.

The dog pulled the 30-centimetre-long dead creature from the water and the two women snapped some photos of it.

While some think it may be kin to Ogopogo or the Loch Ness Monster, others say it looks like a water-logged bear cub or otter.

Obviously, you people who think it is a bear, have never seen a bear. Bears, even cubs, have very wide paws. The paws on this animal are not even close. And how many bears have you seen with long rat like tails? I think it’s sad that the majority of the public can be so stupid.

What is striking me is that perhaps because it is mutant, a bear momma drowned it as nature is want to bring the malady ridden to peaceful, painless death. ???? Breaks my heart, actually. I wonder what toxins may have ‘birthed’ this poor creature? I agree with MH that its ursine.

Those look like tiny bear claws…

He must be related to Nessie, the Loch Ness monster, or any of the wild Haggis that roam the Scottish Highlands?

One of Chimpy’s animal-human hybrids must have escaped.

I think it is a young bear cub. 30 cm isn’t very large, and the face is very ursine.

It’s not a Bear or an Otter the feet are more dog like.

Looks kind of like a baby bear that has been in the water way to long, poor little thing. Could be Stimpson though, we don’t really know what he looks like do we? Have we heard from him this week, see what I mean.
