John Boehner’s Anti-Terror Rant on Obama is Just Plain Nuts
John Boehner’s serious charge that President Obama doesn’t have a “comprehensive strategy” to fight terrorists “doesn’t deserve a hearing at the adults table,” writes John Dickerson. Obama—who’s doubled the number of CIA air strikes in Pakistan, tripled the troops in Afghanistan, and given “speeches devoted to the more efficient killing of terrorists”—clearly has a strategy.
Critics can call it ineffective if they wish, but to simply ignore its existence? “Boehner is either being sloppy with his language, slippery with the facts—or both—to score political points,” writes Dickerson at Slate. “If Boehner’s critique had been made during the Bush administration, it would not just have invited criticism on its specific points; it would have been held up as evidence that Boehner fundamentally misunderstands the nature of the war against the extremists.”

I absolutely despise Mr. Boner. He is a drunk who denies that he drinks. I don’t care if you like to drink just don’t tell folks you don’t and definitely don’t go around being holier than thou about it.
No strategery? Hell, as Mr. Hart just said, Hussein X is being quite Bushian in his approach.
Hang on a sec, I have to find my life jacket, Boehner started crying again.
Wahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! He is crying rivers of bullshit!
Of all the Republican criticisms of Obama, this (the weak on teror line one) is by far the most idiotic; 30,000 additional troops for Afghanistan, drones landing up the poop-shoot in Pakistan, Guantanamo still chugging along quite nicely, renditions to who in the hell knows where. Hell, if anything, this President resembles TOO MUCH his frigging predecessor.
Boner is a boozer. If you listen carefully to him as he holds forth you will detect the slight slur. I don’t judge, just pointing out the hypocrisy. I might be the last person to judge 🙂
Is this guy still being treated as if he matters? Why do they give these shmuck’s airtime anymore?
“Boehner is either being sloppy with his language. . .”
He was most likely slippery with the booze – as well as everything else mentioned. The only difference between him and McCain is that one is slightly better looking.
The thing is, their followers are ideological. They agree with the ideology and do not fact-check or research. Democrats aren’t quite as bad, although many accept the administrations talking points without researching either.
Basically one has to follow the issues.
Bonehead is sleazy, slippery, and slimy as a snake. Of course he fundamentally misunderstands the nature of the war on terror, it’s a miracle he can even get out of bed in the morning. Damn these GOP’ers are so embarrassing!
After Mitch McConnell got outed for mindlessly spouting a pollster’s talking points regarding financial reform, it is reasonable to be cynical about the veracity of the statements of these clowns, even if they are thinking for themselves. When you hear crap like this you know they are, metaphorically speaking, governing with Cliff Notes.
Seriously, people should be hammering Boehner hard on this. Either he has no clue, or he’s dishonest. Neither is a good thing.
