Fun-Park Ride Busts Midair, Kills Teen

When the arm of “El Pendulo”—the Pendulum—broke, the basket carrying the girl plunged onto the top of an adjacent ride.
Two other teens suffered severe injuries and a young boy had minor wounds. Just hours before the Barcelona tragedy, workers checked out the ride because it was making strange noises, but cleared it for operation when they failed to locate any problem, reports the Barcelona Reporter. Officials are investigating.

I don’t trust those rides in the US much less trust one in Barcelona. Terribly sad….
The last time I went on one those rides was at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City over 20 years ago, my stomach lurches when I think about it.
