Gay Republicans…

Read Time:1 Minute, 35 Second

Ken Mehlman is Gay…who would have thought? Republicans have feelings too? Republicans are in touch with their inner “female” side? WTF! Say it isn’t so! Huh??

Yes I am shocked. I am also saddened by the hate and the negative rhetoric this man spouted from the Anals of Republican inner circle for all these years while he was at the head of the Serpent… just by staying silent when his party pierced the hearts of millions with their hateful words and actions. Now I can understand a bit more about why Jeff Gannon was such a frequent visitor to the White House during Dumbya’s Presidency. There has to be more Gay men in the party…women too, and they are ashamed that they are really human…and they are still ashamed that they too have feelings. I am sure you all remember the Republicans who have been involved in Gay Revelations and scandals over the years, some who still deny their true selves and say they are sick and need to be cured. Some scandals include Mark Foley, Larry Craig, Ed Schrock, Ted Haggard…and the list is long.

I am happy that he has come out and found his hidden voice. I am also happy that some Republicans, namely the Log Cabin Republicans, have come out in support of him…maybe there is a place…a real place for Gay people, for LGBT’s in the Republican Party. I would like to personally…on Record let the Republican Party know, there is always a place for them inside the loving LGBT arms of the Democratic Party.  Do not worry about there being an opposition party, as Sarah Palin has that covered with the Tea Baggers and the Birthers who will join forces anyway. She and Mc Cain has that all wrapped up… along with the launch codes to our Nuclear Arsenal!…but that is another story.

Stephanie Miller gay?! Oh no! I was also going to marry her. Next thing I know you’re going to tell me Rachel Maddow is gay.

Gay republicans, Black republicans, Native American republicans, Chicano republicans, etc. . . all groups of people who down deep inside hate themselves for who and what they are.
So sad that people get coopted into the hate that is shown them.

I could care less about this hypocrite. I am far too distraught over Stephanie Miller coming out to worry about this guy. Seriously, Tee, I wanted to marry her!!

Log Cabin Republicans, hm?

Log cabins have knotholes. Knotholes = glory holes.

I see the appeal.

See I can’t see the gay community for bonding with republicans. It would be like chickens standing up for KFC or something to me.

My prognostication: The Tea Party, far right, one-out-of-fiver loco American will make their own party, diametrically opposed to anyone and everyone that is not in lock step agreement with their lunacy. The rest of America, thinking moderate right, all the way to the left, can isolate and negate them into the margin, rendering them ineffective. It would be cool if it happened.

BTW, I agree with Jess. Mehlman is purely opportunistic, and I mean that in the pejorative.

F*ck Ken Mehlman. Oh yeah I went there, he is a smarmy f*ck. He is the one reason all those anti gay amendments were put on ballots back in 2004 that gave us a second term of commander cuckoo bananas, by bringing out the religious right. He is behind the most vile racist ad that had Call me Harold, when Ford was challenging Bob Corker for a senate seat in TN.

He is seeing the writing on the wall regarding LGBT rights and NOW, now he is discovering he is gay. My ass he is, this is all about political expediency for this prick and the republicans to show they are inclusive*barfing right here*. Bill Maher outed his ass a few years ago, along with some others. This man is one of the reasons, there is so much hate towards my gay brothers and sisters.

So I will say it once again F*CK Ken Mehlman. He is SO richly deserving of the Roy Cohn award it isn’t even funny. Still donating to the anti gay people but hey, I am one of you. He is a nasty piece of work. Now I have no more nice things to say so I am going to stop.

This article wasn’t supposed to come out for a bit and Mike Rogers has been talking about him for a while, because of his support for AFER and the conference next month he would be headlining. Now he has come out on his own terms, which is total horseshit, because of others before him that busted that closet door open. He’s talking about how easy it was for him. Well yeah f*ckwit, because others busted that door while you were sitting there dogging them and getting paid handsomely for it. Why now, I have my own feelings on that and part of it, like I said, they see the writing on that wall, as far as equality and now him, in particular, wants to capitalize on it. He’s jumped on the prop 8 bandwagon because he knows it is now a matter of when, when equality happens, not if anymore. Because of this prick, my lesbian aunt and her wife are an abomination and my best friend is compared to a child molester. This is the hate and slander he allowed into the conversation by not standing up. I don’t have time for self lothing people. They make me sick, with the hypocrisy of it all.

So he frames the conflict as a “personal” matter, in the article, something between him and his friends. Mehlman still doesn’t acknowledge the broader context for his “personal journey,” which includes the oppression and diminishment of the gay community at large. He refuses to address his personal responsibility for that horror. That isn’t being sorry, that is the non apology apology.

I’m not even gay and there is no apology that would be enough from this man to forgive what he has done to the LGBT community. Now he is all about, let’s not talk about that which happened years ago. WTF, you as a gay man, stood by and let people call your gay brothers and sisters inhumane and child molesters and oh by the way, they are still doing it today.

I really have nothing nice to say about this guy and trust me, I am so holding back here, because there are different people coming around to visit and I won’t get into it. I haven’t been holding back on the GLBT blogs I frequent about this.

Some day I may come out of my shell and tell people how I really feel about this guy and people like him. I was instructed to do that today, on one of the LGBT blogs I frequent as an ally. They have been up in arms over this and I for one don’t blame them, one single bit of hate towards him.
