“I’m not a witch” and “I’d like my life back” top quotes of 2010
Fred Shapiro, associate librarian at Yale Law School, has released his fifth annual list of the most notable quotations of the year. Tied for number one this year was Tea Party Princess, Christine O’Donnell’s response to her revelations that she dabbled in witchcraft when she was young, “I’m not a witch”. An equally insane utterance made in May by BP’s CEO Tony Hayward “I’d like my life back” in response to (some) media badgering about the beleaguered Gulf of Mexico regarding the inconvenience of the oil spill to him.
The amusing thing is, each one of the quotes could have been attributed to the other. Another eight idiotic quotes HERE.
