Red-Wing Blackbirds fall from sky
The Arkansas Fish and Game Commission (AFGC) began receiving reports of the falling birds on New year’s Eve. By midnight, more than 1,000 red-winged blackbirds had fallen in one area of the city of Beebe.
The birds could have been hit by lightning or high-altitude hail, said AFGC ornithologist Karen Rowe. About 65 dead birds have been sent off for scientific analysis to determine the cause of death.
Tornadoes swept through Arkansas and neighboring states on 31 December, killing seven people. However, the AFGC did not say whether the blackbird deaths could also be attributed to the storms.

My first thought when I read the title of this was how all birds fall from the sky.
My next thought was, O’ God! All birds fall from the sky. This is Armageddon.
Bet lots of people in Arkansas fell to their knees.
This reeks of something toxic. Wonder if there was a farmer who decided he’d had enough of birds getting to his crops.
