Obama Haters Hating again: Manning treated appropriately
The Hard Left, those that despise the president because he won’t personally deliver their inflated pay checks in Gucci bags, or dispatch a team of doctors to each of their homes, or invade Libya, Egypt, Wisconsin, and everywhere else that business is being handled locally, by local people, who live there, are crying yet again. This time it’s because the president supports the Pentagon when it says that Bradley Manning, the kid who took it upon himself to leak classified information to a private company, is being treated just like any other criminal. Read this story from Politico44:
President Obama told reporters on Friday that he’s been assured by the Pentagon that its treatment of the private charged with giving information to WikiLeaks is “appropriate.”
Obama declined to “go into details” about the detention of Private Bradley Manning but said that he “actually asked the Pentagon whether or not the procedures that have been taken in terms of his confinement are appropriate and are meeting our basic standards.”
“They assured me that they are,” Obama said.
Philippa Thomas, a blogger, reported Thursday night that State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley told an MIT audience that the treatment of Manning, who has been isolated for 23 hours a day and has frequently been ordered to take off his clothes, is “ridiculous and counterproductive and stupid.”
Asked about Crowley’s comments at his press conference, Obama didn’t mention the spokesman. “I can’t go into details about some of their concerns, but some of this has to do with Private Manning’s safety as well,” Obama said.

What gets my goat about the whole affair is: Why should a Pfc or any low ranking military person have access to such “sensitive” material. It couldn’t have been that critical could it if every man and his dog could put their hands on it. The whole business is national disgrace. It stinks.
