The Catholics are at it again, playing the same old song, and this time it is a Ricky Martin tune. You see Ricky is gay. Yes gay! The popular singer is a homosexual with a big voice and a huge, adoring fan base. He is not ashamed of who he is and I’m sure his fans could care less about his sexual persuasion, save one.
That’s right. There is one fan, a good Catholic no doubt and a cardinal no less who just wants Ricky to stop talking about gayness. While it’s OK to be gay, says the red hat, it’s not OK to well, act like you’re gay and actually be happy about it.
You see Ricky is somewhat of a gay romeo and the Puerto Rican pontiff doesn’t like that. He doesn’t like that one bit and he is pleading with the entertainer to stop saying it’s OK to be gay.
Here is the story summary for your edification:
Cardinal Luis Aponte Martinez of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is a fan of Ricky Martin’s “artistic gifts,” but he sure wishes the singer would stop promoting homosexuality like some gay Romeo. In an interview with Primera Hora published last week and picked up yesterday by On Top magazine and Perez Hilton, Martinez added, “Please, for the love of his children, for whom I imagine he wants the best, try to set an example to our youth of the great values we all share, besides sex.
” Further: ” The Roman Catholic church does not reject the homosexual [but] their immoral actions and behaviors, and trying to promote homosexuality or sexual promiscuity among our youth, indeed, is immoral regardless of where it comes from.”
