Suffering’s Virtue
Suffering makes the compost,
rich, moist and steamy,
in which wisdom and
humor ought to grow,
as a complete universe
under the front-left corner,
on the right foot
of The Almighty’s
pinky toe.
What a waste to let all
that waste go to waste.
Worse yet, to let that waste
grow nothing but mold.
