World class terrorist chief killed: Republicans hate it!

Read Time:1 Minute, 35 Second

How far will the Republicans go in their efforts to diminish the president’s accomplishment? They have proven time and again that their sanity is in deficit mode, so it’s hard to tell.  From crazy Ann Coulter, to  unbalanced Beck, and all of the talking heads at Fox News, the word is out: Obama simply traveled the road already laid by George Bush, or “he didn’t really do anything.  It was the Navy Seals that did it.”

The Righties have reason to be nervous, as their election is now seriously in doubt, not that it was likely before this latest triumph.

How far out of their way will Republicans go to deny President Obama any credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden? They’ll throw their dearest values under the bus.Witness, corporate bazillionaire dick David Koch:

“[A]ll that Obama did was say ‘yea’ or ‘nay,’ we’re going to take him out or not,” Koch said, while attending the Society of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center Spring Ball on Wednesday evening. He went on:

He just made the decision, it was obvious where the guy is. He was one of the worst terrorists organizing attacks on the United States. I mean, no president in his right mind would not approve that decision to go eliminate him. So he’s getting a lot of recognition and his polls have jumped up, but his decision was the easiest of them all. The real hard work was done by the intelligence and the SEALs.

Isn’t that something?

A billionaire CEO type grouses about all the benefits accruing to the guy who makes the decisions as opposed to the guys who actually get their hands dirty.

Last week that was reason to pay multi-million dollar bonuses, to make sure these “geniuses” didn’t Go Galt. This week, it’s practically an impeachable offense.

Actually, rebublicans and conservatives in general love that he is dead. However, some liberals are very reluctant to admit that interrogation techniques used by the CIA during the Bush presidency led to locating and killing Osama bin Laden. It was a joint effort which stretched over a decade long and three presidencies. It was spearheaded by the CIA and carried out by highly trained Navy Seal commandos under the command of President Obama. Two of the first people he called to tell the news to were former presidents Bush and Clinton. Then President Obama declined to release death photos of bin Laden, stating that he did not want to “spike the ball in the end zone”. In another speech he said he did not want to “run a victory lap”. I think that he will be running victory laps and spiking the ball all the way to the next election. Just watch and see.

Who me? Surprised? Nope, not one bit. I guarantee you that if Obama waved his hand in the morning and the economy magically cleared up. unemployment suddenly dropped to 5%, gas prices dropped to $2 a gallon and every mothers son had 40 acres and a mule no Republican would be happy with him. He is still Black and they and still mean, selfish, greedy, and stupid. Those things will never change

Lazersedge: Wow! Do you generalize much? I have been politically conservative since the late 70’s and personally I do not know of any republicans who are unhappy that President Obama gave the order for the CIA to kill bin Laden. However, I have heard that some liberals are questioning why the Seals shot an unarmed man. They seem to think the Seals just broke into some random guy’s house in the middle of the night and shot him. Also, I have never heard any of my conservative friends ever say a single word about Obama being black or complain about his race being a factor in his presidency. Mostly they complain about his socialist leanings and positions on various issues. Some liberals like you are the ones who bring up racial issues. Actually, if things changed as you suggested in your comment, you could bet that he would be re-elected president. However, as it stands now with our economy, he will probably lose the election.

State approved assassination?

Personally I’m moving on so I won’t say more, other than it could have been handled so much better.

By the way…I suspect Call Me Al Qaida is far from dead…it’s so amorphous it has never really been ‘alive’ in any sense that we understand terrorism….

Let’s rejoice when terrorism is no more eh? …and not at the assassination (and I have no personal problem with that) of some creepy supposed ‘leader’.

You know, Al Qaeda might be dead as an organization. As both as an organization and the symbolic head of their devil spawn of fellow terrorist organizations. They have a 2nd in command. They promised attacks.

Where is the new leader?
Where is the spasm attack?

PS: And yes, Republicans, you fucked up (and fucked up some more) where Obama kicked ass.

Republican logic: George W. Bush laid all of the groundwork that enabled Pres. Obama to get bin Laden… but the country’s economic problems all started with Obama.

LOL Doc! You got that right!

The Koch Brothers…

Following their logic then we have a real good reason to raise taxes on investors and owners of “supply” and even a better reason to reward the workers because its the workers who actually create the wealth that they enjoy!

I doubt Karl Marx could have said it as well as David Koch did!

And if the mission got botched, and they didn’t get Osama, then it would have been ALL Obama’s fault. With some, Obama cannot win no matter what he does.

You are so right. I have already the hate on some so called progressive sites. Some are attacking him for matters totally unrelated because they are having a hard time faulting him without saying something nice about Bush, and even the Obama Haters aren’t willing to go quite that far.

As most people know, Koch’s father was a founding member of the John Birch Society and John, as his loyal son, has taken up the torch of hate and fear. Further on in the above conversation, JK says Obama is a socialist and “that scares me.” If anyone is to be feared, it is this man.
