Rupert Murdoch in another hacking scandal

Rupert Murdoch’s employees

in serious phone hacking trouble

Rupert Murdoch’s flagship Sunday British tabloid newspaper, the News of the World is accused of hacking into a missing girl’s phone, deleting messages, adding messages of their own, thus convincing her parents she was still alive when she was dead. Thirteen year-old Milly Dowler was murdered in 2002 and Murdoch’s people at News of the World are being investigated for interference of a murder inquiry.

“The family are completely horrified. They thought this was all over” after the disappearance of Milly Dowler in 2002 and the conviction of a man for her murder this year, the Dowler family lawyer Mark Lewis said.

But in April, police told the Dowlers that journalists had hacked into their phones and those of their daughter, he said.

Five people, who worked for the News of the World, have been arrested in connection with phone hacking investigations this year since a new police inquiry began this year. A journalist and a private investigator working for the News of the World were sent to prison in 2007 for hacking into the voicemails of royal staff in an earlier investigation.

Police launched the new investigation this year in response to widespread complaints from politicians, celebrities and other high-profile figures who fear they have been targets.

Are Rupert Murdoch’s employees acting under orders?

The British public did not pay too much attention when over-paid celebrities and pompous politicians were getting hacked, but this tragic story of abduction and murder of a teenage girl and the way Rupert Murdoch’s employees manipulated the awful circumstances to sell newspapers, has got the attention of all and sundry. Already Ford UK is pulling ads from Murdoch’s newspapers.

Murdoch’s executives were scrambling when it was Royals, soccer stars and politicians being hacked, but now they are on all fours. Some high-up people in Murdoch’s publishing empire could be seeing some serious prison time. British Prime Minister David Cameron on Tuesday called the allegations “quite shocking” and urged the police to investigate thoroughly.

On July 4th, Fox News Twitter account was, apparently, hacked into, and in the name of Rupert Murdoch’s American empire announced that President Obama had been shot and killed. For which Fox News apologized, but it was a big story.

Well Mr. Murdoch, bad things are going to happen when you hire people, starting at the top (Roger Ailes), who lie, connive, cheat, obstruct the truth, do anything for sales and ratings and they in turn hire people under them in the same cast.

News International has apologized for unspecified cases of phone hacking. They say they have been cooperating with police since the new investigation was launched in January. But they would say that wouldn’t they, Rupert Murdoch and his pack of liars, will do anything for a good story.
