Rush Limbaugh: Heat Wave A Giant Government Conspiracy

Read Time:2 Minute, 45 Second

Rush Blubberbaugh says the heat wave is a huge government conspiracy.

There are different classifications of idiots.  There are your run of the mill idiots like Oklahoma’s Tom Coburn and John Boehner as well as your serious idiots like Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rick Perry, and leader of the pack Rush Limbaugh.  From time to time the idiocy is difficult to comprehend, as in everything said by Limbaugh and Beck.

limbaugh is an idiot, global warming a hoax

Rush Limbaugh claims there is no heat wave, just a government conspiracy to make us think that it is hot.

Limbaugh said, “And they’re playing games with us on this heat wave again. Even Drudge. Drudge getting sucked in here. Gonna be 116 in Washington. No it’s not. It’s going to be like 100, maybe 99. The heat index manufactured by the government to tell you what it feels like when you add the humidity in there, 116. When’s the last time the heat index was reported as an actual temperature. It hasn’t been, but it looks like they’re trying to get away with doing that now. 116.”

Rush said of this ‘just normal weather’, “Drudge is just linking to other people reporting this. He’s not saying it. I don’t want to misunderstand, but he’s linking to stories which say 116 in Washington. No. It’s what 100, 97, 99? It’s going to top out at 102, 103. It does this every year. We have this. There’s a heat dome over half the country. Midwest it’s moving East, and it happens every summer. It happens every summer.”

Limbaugh then joked that if Washington, DC wants to cool down, they should have Al Gore hold a global warming conference there.

According to Limbaugh, the heat wave is all part of giant government conspiracy to make people think that it is hotter than what it is in order to get them to believe that climate change is real. Limbaugh thinks this kind of heat wave happens every year, but it doesn’t. According to the National Weather Service 1,000 heat records have been broken across the United States in the past month.

Here is the audio from Media Matters:

This heat wave is not the usual summer weather. As far as the heat index is concerned, it has been around since 1979. It is not some new tool to convince people that climate change is real. The heat index is not being substituted for the temperature in news reports. If you go to the National Weather Service’s website and click on a local forecast, the heat index is not even mentioned. The Weather Channel’s website lists both the temperature and the heat index.

There is no vast government conspiracy to make the heat wave seem hotter. This is a real and unprecedented weather event. Since Rush Limbaugh’s political ideology will not allow him to acknowledge that there might be something to this whole climate change thing, he has to explain it away with a silly conspiracy theory.

By the end of the week Rush Limbaugh will be blaming Obama and his top secret weather machine for the heat, because there is no home for reality in the right wing mind.  Idiot!

Many thanks to Politics USA

GW skeptics keep asking “how do we know this is the ideal climate?”, suggesting that climate change isn’t a big deal because we don’t know what the perfect global climate should be.

First off, nobody is suggesting this is the “ideal climate”. What is suggested is that humans shouldn’t alter the global climate drastically.

Secondly, if we do alter it drastically we can predict the effects. For example, global warming can cause droughts, floods, heat waves, super hurricanes, huge sea level rises, etc. etc.

Thirdly, the species on this planet (including humans) are adapted to the current climate. Obviously if the climate changes drastically, it will adversely effect most species, including humans. Many species which are less adaptable than humans will be particularly badly effected.

This “ideal climate” argument clearly doesn’t make any sense whatsoever, so why do global warming skeptics keep bringing it up? Did Rush Limbaugh just talk about it or something?

Ola! Peter,
Interesting Thoughts, GW skeptics continue to keep inquiring “how do we know this is the ideally suited climate?”, suggesting that climate adjust isn’t a large deal since we will not know what the flawless international local climate really should be.

Primary off, no person is suggesting this is the “most suitable weather”. What is suggested is that human beings should not alter the worldwide environment considerably.

Secondly, if we do alter it substantially we can predict the effects. For example, intercontinental warming can result in droughts, floods, warmth waves, super hurricanes, large sea stage rises, etc. etc.

Thirdly, the species on this world (which include individuals) are adapted to the latest weather. Clearly if the weather adjustments dramatically, it will adversely result most species, which includes humans. Many species which are significantly less adaptable than humans will be specifically badly effected.

This “best climate” argument clearly isn’t going to make any sense whatsoever, so why do intercontinental warming skeptics retain bringing it up? Did Rush Limbaugh just chat about it or an item?
Cheers

Rush is a flaming jerk that talks out of his ass. Why anybody wastes time listening to or talking about him is beyond me. If we all ignore him, maybe he’ll go away.

Holte, he never feels the heat because he never gets out in it. With his 300 million per year contract he probably has air conditioned shorts. I would love to see him walk a mile out in Collin’s part of the country one afternoon.

I bet his blubberness feels the heat more than the average elephant. What a dick.

What a f-ing fool. We haven’t had a summer this hot in my part of Oklahoma since 1980. In Central Oklahoma it hasn’t been this hot since the dust bowl! No, sir–not normal weather. As for heat indexes, a government conspiracy? Meteorologists came up with that, not the government. Meteorologists tend to be at odds with climatologists when it comes to global warming and climate change. Rush will say anything.

Actually the scientists are not so much at odds. More that 90% believe that climate change is taking place and almost the same number agree that it’s exacerbated by global warming. Of course that could change tomorrow.

I suppose your big fat, cottage cheese ass is also a conspiracy, right Rush? Why aren’t you Diabetic yet? It’s called a “treadmill,” Rush. You should try it – it’s all the rage.
