Bristol Palin, a Mechanical Bull, and a Homosexual Heckler

Bristol Palin would like you to know she is not a homophobe, thank you very much. In another sign of how quickly things can spiral downward anytime there’s a mechanical bull involved…
The eldest Palin daughter was filming her reality show at a bar and had just fallen off the aforementioned bull when a heckler called out, “Your mom’s a whore” and a “fucking devil.” Palin approached the man, notes KTLA, and retorted, “Is it because you’re a homosexual?”
“Pretty much,” responded 47-year-old Stephen Hanks, who looked to have enjoyed some adult beverages and has since said he regrets his outburst. “And why did you say I’m a homosexual?” “Because I can tell you are,” shot back Palin. A heated conversation ensued; click the video below if you can bear it. A Palin rep tells TMZ that “Bristol responded to the unprovoked verbal assault by calmly standing her ground and defending her family… accusing her of homophobia is completely unfounded and totally misstates her views.”
After watching this video I take my hat off to Bristol for showing remarkable restraint in the face of the self-professed homosexual heckler. This guy was being a real asshole!

You know, it involved a Palin so I really don’t give a damn what they do, who they do it with or to. If I never hear of them again it will be once too often. That goes for the Kardashians also.
Agreed. And can we include Paris Hilton, Bridezillas, and the entire cast of Jersey Shore?

Ok raise yer hands if you think this was not scripted and was just an outburst at a bar. Puhleaze, these things are scripted to within an inch of their lives for the drama. What the hell is she doing in a bar anyway when she is underage is what I want to know.
Why go right to the homophobic slur of the guy right away, let me tell you why. “Teh Gheyz” are hateful people and I can be a victim for four minutes or so and I will get publicity not only for my half assed reality tee vee machine show, I can get my mom’s name in there too. Nice to see the second generation of Wasillabillies grifting through life though, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
Good point. Most reality shows, ironically, have little in the way of “reality” in them.
My hand’s up with yours and jenny40. After all the nasty remarks she’s made about so many people, I just can’t believe she would be that even handed to a heckler. If it’s as staged as I think: he did a great job, too.
I know right where that clip was shot. And I’ll give her credit for doing a good job riding the mechanical bull.
