Ozzie Guillen: Everybody’s favorite punching bag

Being a White Sox fan I enjoyed and endured years of former manager Ozzie Guillen’s quips and taunts.
Ozzie loved describing his detractors with slurs offensive to Gays and people that aren’t but are still offended by slurs offensive to gays.
He had to take sensitivity training for it. I doubt that made Ozzie more sensitive.
Ozzie even called a guy a “child molester” once. Ozzie said the guy was a friend of his.
So now Ozzie is in trouble for saying he admired Fidel Castro for being in power over 50 years. The Cuban American community is outraged. Ozzie’s new team, the Marlins, are outraged. Baseball is outraged. Soon some outraged member of Congress who needs Cuban American votes will be outraged and demand a Congressional investigation.
Presidential candidates will be questioned by reporters about this and will have to be outraged because Florida has lots of electoral votes and Floridians of Cuban descent won’t vote for someone that didn’t express proper outrage at Fidel Castro.
The fact is this is just another episode of Ozzie Guillen being Ozzie Guillen. That’s what Ozzie does. He makes off color statements. He swears. He pisses overly sensitive people off.
Ozzie is my kind of guy.
