The Tentanic could provide you, and a 1,000 of your closest friends, the ultimate camping experience. The Tentanic is constructed with a scale of 1:2 in comparison to the actual giant passenger ship Titanic, that tragically sank on April 15, 1912.
Tentanic is marketed by Firebox and has a price tag of $12,000. The 100th anniversary of the Titanic tragedy has spawned a whole new industry. Museums in Southampton and Belfast, a cruise by RMS Balmoral which takes the exact route of the ill-fated ship. James Cameron’s movie “Titanic” has been remastered and reintroduced into theaters in 3D format, so a tent to make fellow campers gasp makes perfect sense. Manufacturers say an iceberg shaped tent will be offered for sale next month. Bad taste never looked so good.
