Hey Ron Paul supporters, don’t forget party unity

Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich are out of the republican race for the nomination, they have more delegates than Ron Paul, but a combined debt of about $10 million. Should Ron Paul quit too, for the sake of party unity?
The delegate selection process must be complex. The Street published an article: Delegate Comparisons By Outlet, the outlets being, GreenPapers.com; CNN; Associated Press and RealClearPolitics.com. These media outlets delegate totals varied by as much as 10%, so one must assume they are only estimates and beneath the surface of republican politics a different story could be emerging.
Santorum and Gingrich didn’t drop out because they thought Romney was uncatchable, but because they are broke. Ron Paul on the other hand has zero debt and cash in hand. He also has the best grass roots organization of any campaign of any color, but lets forget delegates, what about party unity?
The Christian Science Monitor said on April 27:
. . . Paul outraised Romney in 10 states, including some that will be key battlegrounds in the fall, according to figures compiled by Eric Ostermeier, a political scientist at the University of Minnesota’s Hubert H. Humphrey Center for the Study of Politics and Governance.
“Ron Paul leads Mitt Romney in large donor itemized fundraising in 10 states, representing all four geographical regions from the northeast (Maine), the South (Arkansas), the Midwest (Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin) and the West (Alaska, Hawaii, New Mexico),” writes Mr. Ostermeier on his Smart Politics blog.
Business Insider is saying that Paul’s campaign is “Secretly Winning More Delegates Than You Think” and they have Santorum’s decision to quit to thank. Santorum often said Romney was not a real conservative and Santorum’s supporters are taking him at his word and are giving Ron Paul another look.
In Colorado, for example, Santorum supporters have bonded with their Paul counterparts over a shared skepticism of Romney’s conservative values. Although the Colorado GOP won’t select its RNC delegates until the state convention next month, Paul organizers have gotten many of Santorum’s pledged delegates to commit to supporting Paul over Romney.
“In Colorado, there is a real anti-Establishment sense — they want to send a very conservative delegation to the national convention,” Benton told BI. “We’re fighting it out, and we think there are enough Santorum delegates that are sympathetic to Ron Paul who will come over to us.”
Newt Gingrich has no love for Romney, especially after hammering he got from the Romney SuperPacs. So, it could be assumed that at least a fair percentage of Gingrich’s delegates could be persuaded to shift to Ron Paul. If Paul harvested all of the financially destitute candidate’s delegates, it still might not be enough. But, Romney would be very pleased if Paul threw in the towel, you know, for the sake of party unity.

Romney wants everybody to quit. Quitting may be his solution when his back is up to the wall, but it’s not what we want from our leaders. Our country has it’s back up against the wall! We need principled fighters and not a pretty boy in a suit. We nominate Romney and it’s the equivalent of making him the starting quarterback because he simply looks good in the uniform. He’s a defensive coordinators dream. The mere fact he wins in the same places liberals do in the general election says a lot.
At some point, and it might as well be now, people are going to reign back power from party leaders, unite and actually make something like a Paul/Santorum unity slate work. As I see it, it’s the only way to balance power, restore it back to the people and take it away from big money.
Those against such an alliance, especially elected state delegates, might want to address future problems and complaints concerning government to the person in the mirror. I fail to see the logic in people not trusting such an arrangement that both Paul and Santorum’s people have agreed to, yet they’ll trust the same people running the party for years that have helped bring us to this junction in history
So, Ron Paul, even though you are running fiscally responsible campaign, you have a top class grass roots organization, you are consistent in your political beliefs, why don’t you quit, for the sake of party unity.

The quality of the political debate without Ron Paul’s input is very low.
The debate between Romney and Obama is who is going to provide jobs, Republicans claim Obama is lying because he didn’t create many during his first term, and Democrats claim Romney is lying because Romney is rich, and represents the rich not us. Meanwhile a make work job is actually an expensive welfare checks. Obama’s green jobs in theory was going to create real jobs in the future but corruption got in the way. Everyone except Ron Paul is engaging in ignorant sound bites.
Third parties when collecting signatures say don’t argue and quickly go on as soon as a signature is obtained.
Let’s say that Ron Paul is wrong that people should stock up on gold and silver. But by listening to him people are saving instead of spending and stocking up on basics like, food, water, and something to clean dirty water with.
But Romney and Obama says stop thinking and let the party do your thinking for you.
The more Ron Paul talks the more people think and discuss the future beyond one election cycle. Keep it up Paul our future may depend on it.

Trying to teach a Paulbot or any libertarian is worse than trying to teach a pig to sing, one will never succeed. With the pig, the pig will only get annoyed, the Paulbot will suffer a righteous indignation of superiority to the unenlightened liberal bleeding heart. Their selfishness will never admit they use things paid for by tax dollars everyday their entire lives, infrastructure and education are the obvious two. All that aside, how could anyone vote for an overt racist such as Ron Paul.

The idea that Ron Paul has “no delegates” is born out of myth and ignorance. Literally a google news search of “Ron Paul delegates” will illuminate you to the fact that he has been collecting them in gobs through the delegate selection process. AP projections based on primary finishes don’t paint an accurate picture of what actually is happening.
Second, Ron Paul supporters are not straight-ticket voters, the concept of “party unity” is irrelevant when Romney’s policies are as atrocious as Obama’s. As a 20’s something voter, there is no candidate, other than Ron Paul and Gary Johnson to actually suggest a plan of action, policy wise, to prevent the government from wasting my money on numerous programs I will never see a dime from.

You do realize that America is founded on the principal of “It’s all about me” dont you? It’s about individuality. The idea that we are all in this together is a communist idea.

The Republican party should unite around Ron Paul, the Constitution, and Liberty. That’s the type of party unity that matters. Romney is the liberal media’s choice. They just want a white Obama clone with the SAME positions on everything except a few details here and there.
Stop being such partisan tools. Grow a backbone and be a real American Revolutionary Patriot!
We have no reasons to support a GOP that does all it can to block Ron Paul from the media. Besides if the media is to believes, Romney has this in the bag regardless of Ron Paul support. I would rather feel good about my candidate than just vote for the lesser of 2 evils.
