Does a Timeless Universe Mean No God

Read Time:4 Minute, 51 Second

Scientists and Astronomers agree; our universe is expanding. It is expanding much like a balloon being blown up, Galaxies are moving away from each other as the universe grows.

There will come a time, however, this expansion will be retarded and stop. The universe will shrink to a point called singularity. According to general relativity, the initial state of the universe, at the beginning of the Big Bang, was a singularity. This is where all the matter which makes up our universe is kept in this one, tightly compacted area. The only matter which is attempting to escape from this compacted area is neutrinos. Neutrinos do not carry electric charge, which means that they are not affected by the electromagnetic forces that act on charged particles such as electrons and protons. Neutrinos are affected only by the weak sub-atomic force, of much shorter range than electromagnetism, and gravity, which is relatively weak on the subatomic scale. They are therefore able to travel great distances through matter without being affected by it.

Neutrinos are notoriously claustrophobic. They do not like tight spaces. It is thought that these particles, weak as they are, somehow interact on the singularity causing it to become unstable and much like the build up in an atomic explosion, reach what is known as “crit”. Once this level is reached, the whole thing erupts in a big explosion. Another big bang. Matter is tossed in every direction and the Universe begins to expand once more. Matter is drawn together to create particles which create atoms which go on to eventually create planets, stars, comets, water, and life.

Scientists believe this has been going on for Eons, a constant expansion and collapse of a universe with no beginning and no end. They feel this collapse is necessary for the Universe to renew itself. The Universe changes each time; each time something is different. For example our planet could become just a barren rock, or it could be as huge as Jupiter and we could be orbiting binary stars.

There is another theory afoot. Scientists have known for years the existence of “Black Holes”. This mass of gravitational energy is so powerful light cannot escape it; planets have been know to be torn apart when they venture too close to a Black Hole. Then scientists made an astounding discovery; the White Hole where the matter escapes. With input from Steven Hawkins and lots of mathematics, a theory was devised. When matter enters a Black Hole, time reverses itself. So the matter coming out of the White Hole is from the Past!

Scientists have never seen a Black Hole and a White Hole in the same vicinity. So that brought forth a new Theory; a Black Hole was the doorway to another Universe. A Portal of sorts.

This Theory caused scientists to rethink everything we thought we knew about time and space. Alternate Universes were always food for Science Fiction Writers, but with the discovery of Black Holes and White Holes, a whole new school of thought was opened. The notion of we are not the only Universe.

It was thought if one could cross over the event horizon of a black hole, then you could go into another universe. Scientists have theorized there is a singularity in the middle of a black hole which traps matter. Sometimes the singularity is so weak it allows matter through to another Universe; other times it is so strong that when it does let go, the white hole on the other side explodes creating an entirely new Universe from matter collected by a black hole.

This collection and dispersion of matter is transferred from one universe to another. Universes do not entirely die; instead they are reborn.

Churches do not like this and for good reason. If all of this conjecture can be proven, if scientists discover there are multiple universes and matter is the building block of the Universes , then their primitive belief of a Supreme Being is debunked. They will gnash their teeth over the discovery that we, as a species, are made not of mud or rib but of star dust and that our basic elements are from the universe.  We are physics, Quantum Mechanics, Spacetime, light, sound, mathematics and electromagnetism. They will wail when it is proven our planet, out of the Quadrillion planets in the Galaxy, is not the only one with life. They may scream if we discover beings who are not like us building cities and have technology.

The day is coming where beings will make their presence known to us. It is theorized beings right now are communicating to each other through the vastness of space. We cannot hear them for we have not discovered the way to listen in. For all we know, the static and clicks the VAA (Vast Antenna Array) picks up could very well be signals on a frequency outside the spectrum we are familiar with.

When they come to visit, as I know they will, they will be loaded for bear. Our early explorers did not go to the new world unarmed so why should we think E.T. will not come packing heat. E.T. will not have a clue as to who we are unless by some fluke, some of our radio and T.V. signals crossed the cosmos to their planet.

God did not create us. We, as I stated before, are a result of a Mathematical Equation and a Physics experiment. We are star dust and are more closely connected to the planet and stars than we can imagine.

We are not alone.

I believe that the likelihood of life beyond earth is statistically certain. God? Not a chance.

As much as I’d like to believe there is alternate life out in the universe/multi-verses, I, like with the concept of a god, will accept that idea when I can lay my hands on it. Seeing is not always believing – but don’t tell the religionists that! Concrete reality is what my brain will accept because I live (supposedly) in a real world. Unless, like the song goes – row, row, row your boat – life is but a dream. Hail to FSM.

I am fine with that, but the research (way too much to put in an article with a 1k limit) suggests scientists have seen black holes in action (near the center of the Galaxy and a few on the outside) and have uncovered evidence of White Holes. No, you cannot literally put your hands on a Black Hole and your telescope will never pick up the sight of a Black Hole swallowing a star, but the proof is there. Thanks to super computers, the Hubble Telescope and other devices, astronomers can look upon the unfolding universe and see the drivel people are being taught in Church is drivel. The thing I find fascinating about the Universe is how there are times the laws of physics are turned on their head. The Universe is timeless whereas the God in the Bible is 6,000 years old.
