Islam is Not a Religion of Peace

The brutal slaying of a British soldier in southeast London caused a local group, the English Defense League, to mount a protest with about 100 men hurling bottles at police while railing against Muslims.
The group, carrying English flags, said:
“Our next generation are being taught through schools that Islam is a religion of peace. It’s not,” said the group’s leader, Tommy Robinson. “What you saw today is Islam.”
Meanwhile, two attacks on mosques outside London resulted in a pair of arrests. A man entered one mosque with a knife; he’s been arrested for attempted arson. Separately, a man was arrested for suspected racially-aggravated criminal damage to another mosque. In other news following the Woolwich killing:
- The Muslim Council of Britain calls it “a truly barbaric act that has no basis in Islam … We condemn this unreservedly.” Another British Islamic leader tells the BBC that “the people who did this act yesterday do not speak in my name, do not speak for my community or the rest of the country.”
- “The dividing line is not between Islam and non-Islam,” a former top official says, per the BBC. “It is between the terrorists and everyone else.” Adds a local MP: “We must not allow this hideous incident to undermine or damage the harmonious relationship between the various groups who live in Woolwich and the surrounding area.”
- Leading British officials are meeting to discuss the attack, the New York Times reports. One major concern, per the Guardian: whether this was a “lone wolf” operation or a more organized one. Following a meeting, London Mayor Boris Johnson seemed to suggest the former, the BBC notes: “Everything I am hearing leads me to think that Londoners can go about their business in the normal way and we are going to bring the killers to justice.”

These terrorists don’t speak for Muslims they are two idiots who obviously have idiotic views. All English people are not racists and are intelligent to know that. Unfortunately there are extreme right wing idiots that are using the horrific murder to exploit their vile and ignorant views.
I am about to make a contribution to MMA regarding this. I do understand if it is not published but I rather hope it will be as it may go some way to explaining the existence of far right groups in England.
Ordinary people – and I generally count myself as such – are scared that their country is slowly turning into something that they don’t want nor ever asked for.
This has nothing to do with political wings but it has everything to do with corrupt politicians and a total disregard for the British people.

I thought you might Norman….I will tell you when I saw the video of one of the killers bragging about what he had done, and threatening violence in the name of that fucking Islam I felt both a great rage and a great hatred. The emotions were so intense as to be frightening.
I’ve tried to explain from a British perspective – not my own necessarily – but one I know exists in the majority of Brits minds.

that is grossly unfair, and plays to the racists in my country (UK). We don’t need any help from people with those views. We’ve heard on the news this morning that there have been 162 reported attacks on Mosques and people – do you think people that do that care about the tragic death of Lee Rigby? No, they just use it to vent their vile ignorant opinions. These people are extremists and only speak for a tiny minority of British people.
I was referring to Islam in general, and counting the thousands they have killed in the name of their religion/cause. In point of fact it would be more appropriate to say “fucking religion.” They’re all just as bad…
I figure the reason there aren’t any radical, murdering atheists is because deep down you all are really believers and don’t want God to have any more reason to punish you.

God, just read our holy books! Except that if you are protecting your children from violence and sex, DON’T let them near them!

And definitely preach that the examples of the worst represent the entire group! Certainly they represent the majority!

All religions have histories of violence and bloodshed. Islam is just the flavor of the month. Sadly it’s been a long, long month.
Murdering bastards each and every one of them. They should all be deported or shot.
