Little baby shot and killed by another idiot with a gun

A 2-month-old girl was shot and killed by yet another idiot with a gun in Pennsylvania on Christmas eve. The autopsy was conducted yesterday.
The Lancaster Intelligencer Journal reported that the infant had been killed by a single gunshot wound in East Lampeter Township on Tuesday just after 2 p.m.
Investigators said that the only person at home with the child at the time of the shooting was an adult male. According to The Patriot-News, police said that the gun was owned by a family member.
First responders were unable to revive the girl and she was later pronounced dead at Lancaster General Hospital.
“Obviously, we are investigating exactly how it took place,” Lancaster County District Attorney Craig Stedman noted on Christmas morning.
Stedman pointed out that two other children under the age of 2 had been killed in the area in the past year.
“Not sure I can really articulate just how tragic it is that a 2-month-old baby was shot dead on Christmas Eve,” he added.
The suspected shooter and members of the girl’s family were cooperating with police. No charges were expected to be filed immediately, police said in a statement.

Just keep posting these horrible stories. Eventually, they have to *bleed* into the mainstream by sheer weight and dismay. Alas, it will take many more dead babies to overcome the armor of the Christianist devil worshipers and penilely deficient gun junkies to overcome widespread gun policy. The weight of evidence will eventually prevail.
