Glenn Beck: FDR and Progressives Enabled Holocaust
It would be better for all concerned if Glenn Beck didn’t do movie reviews. Unfortunately the American people aren’t so lucky as he watched the film “The Monuments Men” over the weekend and seemed to like it. Then again it was rather hard to tell because his radio show consisted primarily of him blaming “progressives” for the Holocaust.
Beck claimed the film made his “blood boil” because it never bothered to discuss the fact that President Franklin Roosevelt cared about saving works of art but made absolutely no serious effort to stop the Nazis from murdering millions of Jews because he, like progressives then and now, “are all anti-Jewish.” Beck went on to bellow:
“Forget about the art. What about the people? What happened to the people? No, we didn’t care. We didn’t care. Progressives didn’t care and so all of those Jews died. We could have stopped them. Instead of Monuments Men, how about Auschwitx Men, how about Dachau Men? Why didn’t we do that? Because they didn’t care … They were all anti-Jewish, just as much as they’re anti-Jewish now.”

Oops, another egregious, unethical, evil absurd lie. But Beck is a notable member of both groups I mentioned elsewhere.
What’s ironic is that both groups are firmly anti-Semitic, intolerant, and judgmental. Is this a textbook case of psychological projection or simple stupidity?
