Indicted Republican Congressman Set To Defeat Dumb Democrat

How does this happen? Republicans electing wacko birds like Ted Cruz, Louie Gohmert, Michele Bachmann, and a host of others, and yet Democrats just can’t seem to win in any great numbers. Perhaps it’s because the Dems have their very own wacko birds.
The latest election news out of New York shows Republican Rep. Michael Grimm appears poised for a landslide re-election from the 11th District, according to the new poll from Siena College — despite the fact that he is currently under federal indictment. Let that sink in for a minute.
Grimm has 53 percent support in the Staten Island-based seat, against Democratic former New York City councilman Domenic Recchia with only 34 percent. The survey of likely voters was conducted from Oct. 26 to 28, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.7 percentage points. The previous Siena poll from mid-September had Grimm ahead by a narrower margin, 44 percent to 40 percent.
Grimm was indicted on 20 federal charges earlier this year, related to alleged tax fraud at a restaurant he operated before his election to Congress, with a trial date set for after the election. And earlier, while that investigation was chugging along, he also infamously threatened a reporter that he would throw him off a balcony, and “break you in half, like a boy,” for asking about the investigation of his 2010 campaign finances, which had been the original subject of the federal probe.
Recchia, however, has run a notoriously slipshod campaign, in which he has struggled to answer questions on national issues and to explain his knowledge of foreign policy. As a matter of fact Recchia has made it clear he hasn’t a clue when it comes to either foreign or domestic policies. To say that he is an embarrassment to the Democratic party is understating his ability.

Hell MadMike. Us republicans would vote for Hitler if he had an R by his name. The sexy but nutty Joni Ernst who’s policies would end farm subsidies has the farm vote in Iowa lined up because she’s sexy and wants less government aid even though farmers get as much or more per capita than anyone. Seniors love her cause her mother is old even though Joni would privatize Social Security and put it at the whims of the stock market which billionaire hedge funders can manipulate the shit out of so they make money whether it goes up or down.
All I’m saying is the dems need to do a far better job of appealing to the idiots out there cause the reality is there aren’t a whole helluva a lot of people interested in facts out there.
