Will The EU Throw Out The UK?

Read Time:2 Minute, 50 Second

You could say “Ve haf vays ov making you go!” in a funny German accent – and you could be right too. German Chancellor Angela Merkel has told British prime Minister ‘Call me Dave’ Cameron that his intention to renegotiate border controls within the European Union is a non-starter. Merkel points out that ‘free movement’ throughout the EU is ‘set in stone’ and is an integral part of what the EU is all about. She says, quite bluntly, that if Britain and Cameron do not accept this and insist on reclaiming Britain’s borders then Britain is moving ever closer to exiting the EU.

EU Capitals: London

This is music to my ears. This is also music to the ears of an increasing number of Brits. More and more Brits would like nothing better than to leave the EU to its own devices. Cameron has promised Britain an IN/OUT referendum if he is elected – albeit we are a bit pissed off he’s using this as leverage to get elected as an IN/OUT referendum could easily have been held last year or this year.

Nevertheless, Cameron has committed to renegotiating this ‘free movement’ business and can’t retract from it. To do so would be political suicide. The EU may well prevaricate and say it is not prepared to renegotiate for Britain to have its own border restrictions – and nobody would be surprised at that if only because other European countries are alarmed at the amount of immigration they have endured since joining the EU and would almost certainly then follow Britain’s lead by demanding their own restrictions.

The prospect of Britain being ‘thrown out’ of the EU is the best news many – I suspect the majority – of Brits have had in a long time. For a start, the cost of an IN/OUT referendum would be saved. If we are thrown out then there’s no need for a referendum nor the cost of arranging one.

I suspect that Merkel has made her statement mainly because Germans are also alarmed at the amount of immigration they have had to sustain – Germany’s economy, like France’s is struggling – as much because they joined the awful ‘Euro’ as anything else. Britain, thankfully, retained it’s own currency and our economy, after some austerity measures over the last few years, is beginning to thrive again.

Mind you, as a result of our economy thriving a bit the EU now expect us to give them 7 odd billion Euro’s.

EU? Piss off.

Will Cameron ‘man up’ and fight his corner for Britain? Will Europe refuse point blank to allow him to renegotiate our border controls? Will he say metaphorically at least ‘then screw you we’re doing it anyway’? Will the EU kick us out? Oh please please ‘Call me Dave’, say, metaphorically, ‘screw you we’re doing it anyway’. Go on Dave. Be a man!

Bye bye EU. The end of Britain’s membership is surely creeping up on the horizon.

Not a day too soon either.

No idea who did this little video and, to be honest, its a bit over the top even to me but it’s worth watching just for the final frame. Given that I bite my finger nails (I’m so sorry, shameful but true) that could be my middle finger at the end – so, pretty much ignore the bullshit but the middle finger at the end says it all.

Last thing I read was this Britain place was a little up and coming island, to where they have retained a high financial status and upped their game as far as high economies. IMO they don’t need to be squandering monies away on people living somewhere else and getting the benefits of having worked for a second in the UK. I’m from the People’s Republic of California and I love this video. If I divorce my husband, marry Mike’s Scottish cousin, I will be a UK citizen too. So you know this is my plan, Mike and I have talked it over and he’s good with my exit plans. No idea if his cousin has been told, it will be a nice surprise arranged marriage for him. I am learning how to say things in the Scottish vernacular just in case, from the best teacher ever… my girlfriend who is from Glasgow.
