US Doomed Because People Mocking Fundamentalist Preachers

Read Time:57 Second

Pat Robertson outdid himself yesterday when he hosted a special segment called “Cape Henry: The Beginning of a Christian Nation,” on The 700 Club,in which he warned that God himself will soon remove his hand of protection over America because people are mocking devout fundamentalist preachers like himself.

Naturally, and it was only a matter of time before Robertson cited the riots in Baltimore as well as those in Ferguson, legal abortion and the Supreme Court’s attempt to “bring in sodomy and put it in the Constitution” as definite signs that the country is straying from its long held biblical values, sternly warning that the U.S. would be “doomed” without the voices of religious fundamentalists.

“Sooner or later, a holy God is going to say, ‘I’ve had enough with you, I’ve had enough, my hands are going to be taken off your nation,’” he said. “People mock the word of God and those who proclaim it are laughed at as fundamentalists. Well, we need the fundamentalists because if we don’t have them this nation is doomed.”

The only thing standing between us and Armageddon is Pat Robertson and other God fearing preachers scaring the hell out of old people so they send a portion of their Social Security checks to him while hating Democrats and government. Most medical appointments paid for by Medicare are made by these wonderful open minded America loving government haters after the good reverend’s 700 Club is over.

It costs lots of money to save America from evil.

The inability of this guy to look at the history of this country is appalling. God’s hand on this country? Wow! Think of all the horrifying things this country has done! Atomic bombs, napalm, fire bombing Tokyo and Dresden, the invasion and military interventions into countries to protect our businesses, Torture under Bush and Cheney, the dictators we’ve backed, and of course slavery. There’s a god you can believe in. Must be that old testament dude I heard about. And need I remind you that this country wasn’t exactly a great place for the average person until after the second world war when we had the only working economy left on the planet?

What an egotist!
Everybody has to agree with him because if he/she doesn’t, Pat Robertson declares that all will not go well for our country.
As Norman Rampart would put it, bollocks!
