Whether you think he’s a good guy or a bad guy, is immaterial to the discussion at hand, which is: alien life.

In a recent interview with Neil deGrasse Tyson on the astrophysicist’s StarTalk podcast, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden suggested that aliens may be using encryption, which would explain why humans have never got any messages from them.
“When you look at encrypted communications, if they are properly encrypted, there is no real way to tell that they are encrypted. You can’t distinguish a properly encrypted communication, at least in the theoretical sense, from random noise. So if you have an alien civilization trying to listen for other civilizations, or our civilization trying to listen for aliens, there’s only one small period in the development of their society where all of their communications will be sent via the most primitive and most unprotected means,” Snowden said.
“When we think about everything we’re hearing from our satellites, or everything they’re hearing from our civilization, if there are indeed aliens out there, all of their communications are encrypted by default. So what we’re hearing — which is actually an alien television show or a phone call or a message between their planet and their own GPS constellation, whatever it happens to be — is indistinguishable to us from cosmic microwave background radiation,” he added.
Snowden is currently living in Asylum in Russia and is wanted in the United States to face charges under the federal Espionage Act.
Earlier this year, we reported that a federal appeals court ruled that the controversial NSA spy program which collects phone records is actually illegal.

Snowden is an actor performing a scripted role, and to better understand what snowden is, consider the following:
Think of the nations as ‘total bros’. USA, the power addict, decides to ‘leak’ a dickpic of its photoshopped massive black pen1s to all the other bros. This strikes fear into them, thus securing USA bro’s place atop the power rankings. This is a 21st century space race.
By staging a traitor escaping with govt secrets, it serves as a simple, yet effective scare tactic which essentially says: “Look how big this dikk is! Don’t mess with me bruh!”

What a colossal failure of logic. Absence of evidence isn’t evidence and if the hypothesis requiring the fewest unwarranted assumptions is the most likely, the likelihood of a galaxy full of radio using aliens using something like spread spectrum to disguise their signals from us is small enough to be called ZERO.
Consider that a planet of Radio Rangers a few thousand light years away hasn’t heard our signals yet and won’t for the same few thousand years, I have to wonder why they’re afraid of us. As far as we know we’d never be able to get there anyway.
