This is an interesting perspective. I hadn’t seen it as a Mormon thing before. Don’t we have to wonder how we can be united as states if we are separated by religion unless of course we keep religion completely out of public life.

God save us from people who take orders from God.

Okay, Mitt Romney and the Oregon nut cases have an excuse: they’re Mormon religious jobs, but what’s the excuse of the current flock of GOP presidential hopefuls? They can’t even fall back on Mormonism!
