Both Bernie and Hillary Supporters Should Read These Words

Read Time:16 Second

Bernie Sanders supporter Robert Reich takes to Facebook to argue that whatever the result of the Democratic primaries, either candidate is better than electing a Republican. No Donald Trump or Ted Cruz in the White House, no thank you. I have to agree. Ours is a Sanders household — our kids, 17, 13, and 12, are…

It all reminds me of a metaphor that I have heard:
There are those that think the world is flat, and there are those that think the world is spherical. They are both wrong! But to say that those who believe the world to be spherical are just as wrong as those who believe the world to be flat is more wrong than both!
Similarly, there are those who think that Hillary Clinton would be a good president, and there are those who think that any Republican in the running would be a good president. In my view, both are wrong, but those who are willing to elect one of the Republicans in the running as opposed to Hillary Clinton are more wrong than anything!

You’re not going to get those Bernie fans to come to the table. They are as fanatic as the republican Tea Partiers. They care about Bernie, not the party. It’s a shame they lost sight of the ball.

“Last I heard, the ball was America, not the Democratic Party. In fact, George Washington himself warned that allegiance to political parties could outweigh allegiance to the nation itself. I think the Republicans have proven out that theory.

However, I think your statement is kind of pejorative and pandering, bordering on bigotry. “those Bernie fans… as fanatic as the republican Tea Partiers… lost sight of the ball?” If I were to get on here and say, “You people all support a Corporatist criminal and a pathological liar,” I would receive much heat from the flamers.

I have already said on numerous occasions that I’m struggling with my best strategic choices, working to decide on whether or not to support Hillary against either Republican, or to continue to support Bernie as Independent or through write-in. But, considering I’m branded as a Bernie fanatic – one of those people – it will make that decision so much the more difficult.”

I’m still of the opinion that I have always had. I am a diehard Ernie fan, but when it comes down to it, I will support whoever gets the Democratic nod. If that happens to be Hillary, as is looking more and more likely, I will plug my nose and vote for her. Any other action would be sure to allow one of the Republican’s scumballs into the White House as president, and I refuse to be party to that! There are definitely fates worse than a Hillary Clinton president; she may be more of a hawk than I prefer, but any of the Repubs has has her beat by a long shot, actually leaving her lying in the dust!

That’s Bernie”, not “Ernie”

Good article and valid point. Yeah, no Hillary fan here – but you knew that, now didn’t you? Yes, I believe Bernie in the White House would be puppy dogs and whipped cocoa. But alas, I also believe that Herr Drumpf in the White House would be Goosesteps and Swastikas, and Cotton Mather in the White House would be… well… Cotton Mather in the White House. So yeah. You guys can back off now. I’ll be supporting Hillary. I won’t be enjoying it, but I’ll be doing it. MadMike, my good friend… you’ve won this round. 🙂
