Could You Survive 4 Nights In Britain’s Most Terrifying Haunted House?

On May 13, 2016, which happened to land on a Friday, Andy Yates opened the doors to his home at 39 De Gray Street in Hull, England to anyone brave enough to enter and explore. Since purchasing the property and living in it by himself for a short span of time, Yates claims to have experienced a wide variety of paranormal activity. After quickly realizing that he couldn’t stay there any longer, he attempted to rent out the home, but none of his renters managed to make it past four days of occupancy.
“I lived in the house by myself, and I came downstairs to find steak knives balanced on the plates in the drying rack,” Yates said in a quote to press. “I once saw a child’s shadow come out of the fireplace and hover for about 15 minutes.”
One person brave enough to enter “The Hostel,” as it’s referred to in the paranormal community, on Friday the 13th in 2016 was a 26-year-old woman named Becci Cook. According to reports inTravelers Today, Mirror UK, and Hull Daily Mail, “spooky forces” ramped up as soon as Cook and the rest of her group entered through the door that night.
“Things moved and three people even vomited. There was this amazing feeling of sickness that came over us,” Cook said to press about her experience in the home. “Doors opened on their own and one man even had a ball thrown at him when he said he could live here.”
The brave group, with the help of clairvoyant Jolene Lockwood used a Ouija board to make contact with the spirits in the home. They learned that many different lost souls were stuck there, including the evil spirit of a man upstairs, and a woman and three children who roamed the lower part of the house. One of the children, a 10-year-old boy named Walter, said that he hung himself in the home in 1840.
The small group of people who stayed at “The Hostel” that night managed to stick it out from 9:00 P.M. to 4:00 A.M. How long would you last if you had the opportunity to explore the property?
