Donald Trump: Psychologically Unfit and Dangerous To America

Read Time:3 Minute, 9 Second

by Bill Formby

I am becoming more and more convinced that Donald Trump is psychologically unfit to be in public life in any shape, form, or function, much less as president of the United States. While the country is trying to deal with recent and ongoing crises (hurricanes, and wildfires that have killed 21 people to date as well as the recent shooting and killing of 59 people in Las Vegas).

In addition there is the ongoing war of words between Trump and North Korea. He is also risking everything by saying he is going to pull America out of the Nuclear Proliferation deal with Iran. If he does this, and he is predicted to do so as early as tomorrow, it could have catastrophic results.

He is infringing on the freedom of speech rights of members of the NFL and now threatening the news media with pulling their licenses. He has also targeted private citizens and companies with his vitriol and mean spirited ways. His promises in the campaign are as bankrupt as his casinos. He demeans people in his cabinet and people in the congress. He plays with people’s fears like he is managing a reality TV show where everyday there is a new, “wait and see” cliffhanger. He blatantly lies when the truth would serve him better.

It is long past who would be a better president, he IS the president and he is losing confidence in America from other countries. Any day now we may wake up and be at war with North Korea or, even possibly Iran.

Walking away from Iran would create an irreparable crack in or relations with other countries within the Iranian deal. That deal calls for sanctions against anyone dealing with Iran. It is one of those, “You are with us or against us deals.” That pits America against the world which could mean America being sanctioned by Europe, China, and other countries with whom we trade. Trump is taking a nationalistic stance that could bring this country to its knees in a hurry. He is fulfilling the wishes of Russia by driving a wedge into NATO. We depend on international trade and we need that to survive.

Why people are still supporting the tyrannical dictator wannabe clearly escapes me. He wants to run this country like he ran his companies, only we cannot afford seven bankruptcies like he had. He had people to bail him out from those disasters but there is no one to bail this country out when he screws it up. He has already set back worker’s rights 50 – 60 years and protection of the environment back at least 40 years.

While some of the cutbacks were reasonable according to conservatives, most were not. His promise of good health care insurance was apparently a joke. The bill that they passed in the House, he called “mean”. The one they tried to pass in the Senate was worse, yet he was angry and demeaned Senators for not passing it. Remember this line from Trump: “I will pass the best healthcare insurance in the world. It will be great. It will have low co-pays and premiums; the best.”  Now that they didn’t pass it he’s deliberately putting people at risk by undermining the current healthcare program in an attempt to make it crash leaving millions with no insurance at all.

He is proposing a tax reform bill that will help the top 1 or 2 percent but cost the average taxpayer. He says it will not help him but I think he is lying because he still won’t reveal his own tax returns.

In a democracy or a republic no one person should be allowed to manipulate the law to enrich themselves yet Donald Trump does this everyday.

Guys, I find it really scary when I paint a dark picture of him on Facebook and people are sending me nasty messages about me and not concern about him.

Me too and so do the fiercely loyal and loyally ignorant supporters I’m surrounded with here. He’s changed the atmosphere in America dramatically. There’s more aggression and suspicion. Everyone is in everyone else’s face to the point where nothing can be done about anything.

And we know who the beneficiary of this is and who is their agent and what their goal is.

Yes. I teach at one of America’s most liberal universities, Kent State, and it pains me to hear professors, formerly liberal professors, wrestling with their conscious beliefs, defending and even supporting Trump. These are WTF moments, and I have to get away from them, or I would say that, out loud, WHAT THE FUCK????!!!

Unfit and dangerous. I think we can say that about his business and personal career as well. If the stories about how his ever darker moods and louder rages are a regular thing We do have cause to worry and I’m defining worry here as panic. Despite the distractions – and the attack on freedom of speech and a free press may be distractions – his misdeeds are becoming hard to ignore or excuse. There’s an old Delta Blues song that goes: “Whatcha gonna do when death come creepin’ in your room?” I think Mr. Trump is humming it to himself as subpoenas come creeping, closer and closer.

Will he take us all down with him?

I think he will try to take us all down. He is wicked to the core, and cares nothing about America or the American people. He frightens the fuck out of me.
