Say Goodbye to Free Internet: Trump Gang Looking to FCK America Again

Read Time:43 Second

by David P. Greenberg

The only legislation being pushed forward by the Trump Administration that is more unpopular with the American People than the 25% tax fucking is the 15% Net Neutrality fucking.

We NEED to save the Internet, but we also need to stop the tax fucking. We beat “Repeal and Replace,” by protesting, writing, and calling. But that was a single fucking. It’s the difference between a mass shooter with a musket, vs. a mass shooter with a machine gun.

Think about it for a minute. Only 1/4 of voters support the tax fucking, and yet, OUR EMPLOYEES – our public servants – are ramming it down our throats. But 15%. Out of every 100 Americans, only 15 want an end to Net Neutrality. And they probably have no idea what it is.

Just fuckin’ shoot me. Put me out of my misery……..

Looks like some of the CA reps are going to try an end round on this by saying it will have to be accepted in CA through our leg. Maybe CA will save the country’s internet lovers,

I know I’m a bit thick but I’m not sure I get it.

Are they trying to tax internet access?

If so then I get it.

Wonder how long it’ll be till they get to the air we breathe.

Lemme try and give you a really brief history. The Internet began as a cooperation between the Military (a program called DARPA) and a group of scientists, universities, and individual computer nerds. The main method of connection was via the old “Bell System” telephone network. It was known as the Bulletin Board System. It was slow, cumbersome, and unimaginably expensive – you had to pay standard long distance charges. The first “jaypeg” I ever downloaded – porn, obviously – took about a half hour and cost me about 30 bucks.

In about 1989/90 – a company was formed, named “Compuserve.” It was the first ISP. It was soon taken over by a company called “America Online,” which we know now as AOL.

But, the public went nuts over this new Internet Thingy. Email became the “killer app” that Bill gates was searching for, that would necessitate a computer on every kitchen table. A guy named Tim Berners-Lee invented a computer language that machines could use to read text on non-email pages. That language was called “HTML.” The advantage of HTML was it allowed pages to embed links to other pages. This tied all the Web sites together in something known as the World Wide Web.

When it started, the WWW was fully open. It was the Wild West. Anything could be posted, and anything could be viewed. But the power center – the companies that allowed access to all this data, the ISPs started complaining that they wanted to be able to prioritize which sites people saw, based on their own profitability. So, in other words, Since 50M ppl a day go to Amazon, and only 3 ppl a day go to DavidGreenberg.com, Amazon users should pay more, and Amazon should receive priority on the pipe.

As huge companies, like Comcast and A.T.& T., bought up these small ISPs, they started lobbying the government to allow them to control what sites people visited, and how much to charge based on those sites. So, Obama – in response to public demand – enacted a law called “Net Neutrality.” Basically, that law stated that “data is data.” All the “bits” are treated equally. No censorship, no “fast lanes” for certain sites, and no blocking of a competitor’s content.

Yesterday’s decision reverses that law.

Sorry about the wordy explanation. Hope it helps.

Easiest explainer I have seen is the gas company not being able to charge different rates for gas depending on where you live because it runs through the same infrastructure in place no matter what.

Short, concise and to the point. Great explanation.

That was a good explanation. I learned a lot and I know everything because I have an Apple computer 🙂

Just one more thing that we need to remember as we approach 2020.

Well, it’s done. Apparently, there are court challenges pending, but with the shape the courts are in, nowadays, I’m not holding out a lot of hope. As of today, 315M Americans are going to have to go back to buying their porn on DVD.

Fuck!!! I’ve long said, if the Republicans think it’s good for the people it’s not. If the Republicans propose it, vote on it and advertise it that means it’s good for the fucking corporations, not regular folk like us.
