Why Donald Trump Refuses To Visit California

Donald Trump won’t go to California, the nation’s “most populous and economically powerful state.”  In his world, this deep blue state represents everything good in America, and everything Trump hates.

The president has visited almost three-fifths of the nation’s states since he’s taken office. The Los Angeles Times notes California hasn’t been snubbed by a US president during his first year since Dwight Eisenhower.

The Golden State houses some of the GOP’s richest supporters and it was ravaged by wildfires in 2017. Trump visited other states, including Texas and Florida, after they were hit by hurricanes. Both states went heavily for Trump in 2016.

The Times notes California, which voted for Hillary Clinton over Trump 61% to 31%, has become, in Trump’s mind, “ground zero for ‘the resistance'” against his agenda, specifically regarding climate change and immigration.

Trump has offered previous hints that he and California aren’t BFFs: Right after the election, he alleged voter fraud there, and he said the state was “out of control” during a Fox News appearance in February.

“It’s hard to imagine an environment less alluring to him right now than deep-blue California,” a USC poli-sci professor notes, adding “we probably shouldn’t hold our breath” Trump will show up there anytime in the near future.

If he ever does get out West, the “homebody president,” who often stays at his own properties when he’s not at the White House, can hole up at Los Angeles’ Trump National Golf Club, the Times notes—though he apparently didn’t enjoy a previous stay in LA.

“I’m in Los Angeles and it’s freezing. Global warming is a total, and very expensive, hoax!” he tweeted in December 2013.

What kind of leader refuses to visit parts of his country because he’s pouting over their political stance?  Donald J. Trump, of course, the worst America has to offer.

Hey California,
You are not alone. My home state of Illinois is another state he refuses to visit so far in his presidency because Just like California, Chicago has been also ground zero for the Resist Trump movement apparently and another state Hillary Clinton won.

We are so out of control here, we have nothing to do but wait for death to come and take us. It’s a sad thing to live here in our reality 😉

Soon Mike, soon, they are going to have to answer for all of this and I hope it is not a wave election that hits them but a grade A tsunami that brings the senate along for the ride.

I’m doing my part staring next month. I’m going to stay with hubby’s grandmother temporarily in Darrel Issa’s district, for a few weeks to help register voters. He is but one that needs to go here in CA. there are a couple others but Issa is first for me because I hate him. We have 12 of them that are in competitive districts and they went along till the last second with the tax scam and then because of the majority they hold they were given dispensation to vote no, just so they could go back crying fake tears to their districts and say well we tried to stop it but we could not, we even voted no because it would hurt CA so badly. Since there are about 12 of them it is not a heavy lift to try getting them voted out here and it helps with dem numbers rising across the board.

“What kind of leader refuses to visit parts of his country because he’s pouting over their political stance?”

The kind of leader with an “infantile mind,” that’s who.

It’s been a long, wearying year with an almost daily assault by Trump on American values and prestige. I’m sick of seeing his bloated face and hearing his imbecilic blatherings.

Luckily, Trump is losing support even with his base and soon all that will be left will be the hardcore Roy Moore types who hide behind Christianity and use it as a shield to divert the public’s eyes from their true depravaties.

I hear ya Mike. Every damn day I wake up and don’t see the headline Donald Trump has died and his family will miss him, I get disappointed about it.
