Mr. Mueller Follows You Mr. Trump and Hell Follows With Him

Read Time:2 Minute, 46 Second

by Michael John Scott

You can run but you can’t hide Mr. President.  You can go to Davos, Mar-a-Lago, Camp David, or Palm Beach.

You can squirrel yourself away in the White House bedroom, clad only in your underwear, oblivious to the world beyond Twitter.

It won’t matter.  None of it will matter.  Robert Mueller follows you, and hell follows with him.

It’s all fake news.  There’s no collusion.  It’s the Democrats, upset that you won the election, jealous of the “huge” crowds at your inauguration.   It’s that pesky Obama, tapping your “wires,” and refusing to acknowledge your greatness.

None of this matters Mr. Trump, because Robert Mueller and his cowboys are riding hard, and fast, headed for you and yours.  Duck. Cover. Cower.  None of it matters. They are coming.

In the middle of a government shutdown and the opening day of Davos, Mr. Mueller has been very, very busy. Below is a summary of just the past 48 hours. Much of it flows from actions taken in office knowing the whole world is watching for a cover-up.

It’s the ultimate unforced error — and the reason many around the feckless Mr. Trump fear him testifying.

  • “Mueller … is seeking to question President Trump in the coming weeks about his decisions to oust national security adviser Michael Flynn and FBI Director James B. Comey,” per the WashPost.
  • Jeffrey Toobin says on CNN that the testimony “will be a defining moment of the Trump presidency … as dramatic a confrontation” as President Bill Clinton’s questioning in the Starr prosecution.
  • In a conversation of interest to Mueller, “Shortly after President Trump fired his FBI director in May, he summoned to the Oval Office the bureau’s acting director for a get-to-know-you meeting,” per the WashPost. “Trump … asked Andrew McCabe: … Whom did he vote for in the 2016 election? McCabe said he didn’t vote.”
  • “Trump … also vented his anger at McCabe over the several hundred thousand dollars in donations that his wife, a Democrat, received for her failed 2015 Virginia state Senate bid from a political action committee controlled by a close friend of Hillary Clinton.
  • Why it matters: “McCabe … found the conversation with Trump ‘disturbing.'”
  • “The encounter is also the latest example of Trump erupting at a senior official, whether Attorney General Jeff Sessions, for recusing himself from the Russia probe, or White House counsel Donald McGahn, for not doing more to quash the investigation early on.
  • Axios’ Jonathan Swan scooped: “Attorney General Jeff Sessions — at the public urging of President Donald Trump — has been pressuring FBI Director Christopher Wray to fire Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, but Wray threatened to resign if McCabe was removed.”
  • “Sessions was questioned for several hours last week as part of the special counsel investigation,” per the N.Y. Times.
  • “Former Trump campaign aide Rick Gates … added a prominent white-collar attorney, Tom Green, to his defense team, signaling that Gates’ approach to his not-guilty plea could be changing behind the scenes,” per CNN.
  • Simona Mangiante — fiancée of former Trump campaign worker George Papadopoulos — told the WashPost: “I believe history will remember him like John Dean.”

Do you ever wonder how Richard Nixon felt Mr. Trump?  You won’t have to wonder much longer.

The fake Christians and other core “basemembers” don’t make up a third of the electorate. They can’t be convinced by events in the real world. All we have to do is vote. We have to ignore the manipulation of facts and stories and learn to compromise and be patient. Jesus is otherwise occupied and all we are going to get is a Democrat, with all that entails. We have to learn to prioritize, just the way they do. If they’re content with the devil at long as he promises a tax break, if they’re content with a traitor and criminal, we can be content with a Democrat who seems to have too much money or is too full of herself.

Trump did not win for his popular support. It was the apathy, Gullibility and greed of Democrats.

Mike the most important thing you said in these threads is whether of not his “base of dimwits” will believe the evidence. They won’t and that fact alone will neuter the Republicans. Unless there’s national outrage they will continue to sit on their hands. We are well and truly fucked as you like to say.

That’s my biggest concern Lyndon. The Deplorables, particularly the Evangelical Christians, think Trump is a gift from God. How do you combat that?

Great use of that line out of Tombstone Mike, and it fits!

They just said on the news Trumps was going to allow himself to be interviewed by Mueller. Only he could be that stupid, but for the American people that’s good news.

Mike I hope you’re right man, and I think you are. Mueller is a guy to be reckoned with. Having said that, Trump isn’t smart enough to understand it, so he’ll carry on acting the fool and destroying the Republic.
