White House chief of staff John Kelly suggested Tuesday that some undocumented immigrants were “too afraid” or “too lazy” to sign up for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. It’s always the lazy thing, isn’t it?

Guys in top hats blamed the Great depression on worker laziness while sipping port in their clubs. Landed gentlemen sitting on the plantation house porch talked about lazy “Darkies.”

Billionaire Republicans and their stooges still complain about people who are too lazy to get high paying jobs and about those Immigrants who were too lazy to register or too lazy to be born three days later or three inches North or the border.

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly suggested Tuesday that some undocumented immigrants were “too afraid” or “too lazy” to sign up for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.

Too afraid? Maybe – and for good reason with the pigs in charge of the farm, but sure, too lazy to take the risk of being deported to an alien land. Why do we want people like that in our country? Lazy and looking for handouts.

Republican America. I might call it a shithole country these angry days. The kind of place pigs wallow while teachers, small children combat veterans, professionals, doctors, business owners and employers lazily pursue the future of our country, where children are torn from mothers, families are torn apart unless we can throw them out and bring in a “merit” system. Or is that a Melanin system?

My German used to be good, and I know a few words of Chinese, but I can’t hold a Kerze to you guys. I often wonder how much of that language phobia is actually jealousy and maybe paranoia. After all someone may be talking behind your back.

Some of that may be true, of course I’m not reluctant to call such people an Arschloch and yesterday after the fifth telephone call from “Windows” telling me there was a problem with my computer I called the guy a Bhenchod – but that’s the best I can do.

Backpfeifengesicht is my very favorite German word Glenn. Learned it recently and it means basically, face that really is in need of a slap. I saw it used on several of dolt45’s supporters. Cannot pronounce it for shit but I try, boy do I try to. I only took up Punjabi to connect with that part of my heritage and French I have been doing since high school and college and kept up with it and like my piano practice, use it all the time and you get better at it. Spanish I have been doing for several years, same reason as Punjabi connecting to my heritage and use friends and their families to help me get better with it. Husband was fluent in Italian, was okay with Spanish and he did that because his dream was to work for Real Madrid soccer club.

Hell I’d be afraid to sign up for this knowing my info could be used to kick me out no questions asked. As far as lazy, well in this admin they know all about that don’t they?
I was told yesterday afternoon to go back to Mexico myself. I have been using a friend of mine to help me get better with my Spanish and we use it sometimes in conversations. Jump to us shopping, stopping for lunch and we are overhead and told “English is the only language that should be used here, go back to Mexico if you want to speak Spanish”. Not to be stopped I went into a tiny little bit of conversational Punjabi and asked the person if they needed me to say it in French for them also, did that and then asked so, how many languages can you converse in. Shut her right up. I love bitchy Jess, she is awesome 🙂

I love languages and speak several, well, not as fluent as I once was because it’s a “use or lose” after all. I lived in Southern California (Escondido) in the late ’50’s and even then, as a youngster, I remember how people would talk about those from Mexico. Thankfully, my parents didn’t share those prejudices so I never developed them. Fast forward to Fort Bliss, Texas, in El Paso, and just a short distance to Juarez, Mexico. The prejudices were still there, but not to the extent I recall when living in California. I do remember the local residents complaining about illegal immigration, and, to an extent, I understand some of those complaints, however, many went beyond the pale and just devolved into racism.

My Punjabi is still very spotty because I only started last year with it, my French is really good, Spanish kind of, I am just building on my high school stuff but my friend helps me out with that. My friend said, maybe she thought we were talking about her.

I actually brush up on my languages at Babel, a language learning site. At the moment I’m brushing up on my Vietnamese and Russian.

I have tutors, after the classes I took and some of my friends are Indian that speak Punjabi so they help me out a lot. We may all have to learn Russian soon so you have a leg up on the competition right there Mike 🙂

You could tell them to go back to England if they want to speak English, but such people rarely have any sense of irony, or humor for that matter. I’m highly impressed however.
