Melting Ice Is Cutting Polar Bears Off from Their Food

Polar bears are shedding weight—fast. A new study for the first time calculated the amount of calories that polar bears require, and it doesn’t look good for their survival. Their key source of food—various species of seals—are full of the blubber they need to satisfy their demands. But as Arctic sea ice melts, polar bears can’t…

We humans help contribute to this people. Help out where you can in your won way. No more plastic bags take reusables, don’t buy your vegetable in plastic, wtf is that about anyway, buy them as they were taken from the land in their own clothes etc etc.

Plastic is almost unavoidable these days. It’s just everywhere and on or in everything. The local supermarket offers a choice between paper and plastic, but the default for them is plastic. Freaking Wally World doesn’t even give you the choice.

Here in our area they charge you 10 cents per bag for plastic bags, so more people are using canvas carry bags. I carry tons of them in my car and into the grocery store and if I see people with no bags, I offer mine up. I have a gf that had done a promo for some group or another and she gave me tons of bags that I hand out because I do not need them having my own. Even walking my dogs, I use compostable paper bags that will break down and just wear rubber gloves I can wash with bleach and disinfectant after every use. Do I look like a big goober walking my dogs around with a small box of paper bags and big rubber gloves, probably, but I don’t care I’m not using plastic. I don’t do Wally world at all, I don’t like their method of operation so I don’t give them my money. I don’t even think I have one close to me, maybe Mountain View but that is around 30-40 minutes drive for me and just not worth it at all. I do most of my shopping locally where if I can, I ride my bicycle instead of getting in my car. AYUP I am a TOTAL nerdorkeek loser and do not care who knows it.
