Trump and Evangelicals Proves God Has a Sense of Humor

Read Time:1 Minute, 40 Second

by Michael John Scott

David Brody, another one of those big shot Trump-backing evangelicals, went on CNN Wednesday to defend his new book that describes President Donald Trump’s “spiritual journey” — but he had trouble saying whether he thinks the president regularly attends church.

While yammering about Trump’s so-called and certainly newfound faith in God, Brody was asked by CNN’s Chris Cuomo whether the president attends church on a regular basis. The question seemed to catch Brody off guard, as he stammered before answering.

“Well, he does… he goes to church,” Brody said. “But let me tell you this…”

“We certainly don’t have the Sunday church cams that we used to have,” Cuomo interjected.

“Please understand that he can come on this show himself and defend his church attendance,”

Earlier in the segment, Cuomo expressed bafflement that evangelicals could possibly give their full endorsement to Trump. Cuomo asked.

“The question is, how much of it is really a measure of this man, or are you just giving him a really low bar?”

“It seems the evangelical community prizes beliefs and behaviors that this president does not and has never exhibited. How do you overcome what he says about people, what he expresses in terms of a lack of compassion for people? A man who says he’s never had to ask God for forgiveness?”

Brody insisted that Trump did say that he asks for forgiveness from God — despite having said in the past that he never did because he has nothing to feel sorry about — in one interview conducted with Brody.

“You can Google it,” Brody helpfully suggested, referring to a private conversation with the president he reported from a golf course.

Brody also suggested that having Trump becoming a “cultural warrior” on behalf of evangelicals was evidence of God having a “sense of humor.”

Depends on what you think a sense of humor is as well as what you think a god is. Bashing children’s heads against a rock? HAHAHAHA. Dragging someone down to hell for bringing incense too close to the ark? hahahaha. Drowning the planet because the angels had been inseminating earth girls – hahahaha.

The guy’s a goddamn riot.

But seeing atheism as a religion is just the Peewee Herman defense: “I know you are but what am i?” Idiocy, but we’re dealing with idiots who think zero is a kind of one.

Listen! Evangelicals are all and only about destroying the planet. Nothing more and nothing less. Their religion is not doing good or morality or brotherly love: it’s about doing anything and getting away with it by magic. Nothing more and nothing less. That’s MY sense of humor – Hahahaha

AYUP, She’s got a sense of the ridiculous alright and we are paying the price for it right now. He’s making the baby jeebee weep with this spin right here, I know for a fact I am a way better Christian than dolt 45 is and I am a militant atheist. Yes, I was actually told that by someone recently. Had I been a better Xian person, my husband would still be here, I never prayed enough for him to make it through fast acting, life taking cancer like I am some kind of witchy magician that can give life. Oh yes, it was a seriously batshit crazy, right wing cousin he has that confronted me at one of the family gatherings to let me know I never prayed hard enough for him to survive. Can you even with that shit? I just laughed at her, let her know I would dust off my witch robes for my next partner and will make sure I cast spells to keep them safe from all harm. She did not like that but husband’s mother and father and some other relatives cracked up when they heard the clapback.

Reason I don’t do that often Mike, I am beyond tired of a lot of people that say Atheism is, in its own way, a kind of religion when you do that. Even when he was alive, I got grief for different things but he was there to be a buffer for most of it. First time they met me, so you are the atheist that is going to be taking him to hell, and it got worse from there 🙂 I did not change my name when we got married and that was a whole big thing because…Jesus wants us to submit to our husband. Like I told them, I had a perfectly good name before I met him why do I need to change it, why couldn’t he change his, that DID NOT go over well with the Talibangelicals in his family at all The fact we got married by non church officiant on our favorite beach at sunset with my gay best friend standing for me and his sister standing for him..off to hell with you, for making him do this like I held a gun at his head when he chose his best friend, his sister to be his “best man”.
