Fox News, Stormy Daniels, and Dementia We Are Unable To Cure

We don’t have universal health care in America but we have universal dementia we are unable to cure. It’s a kind of memory loss, a confusion we associate with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. But as with the neutralizer we saw on Men in Black, it’s triggerable. Just tune to Fox and stare at the screen.
I just heard the term “hush money” on the telly just now and am of the age when the reflex memory is of Richard Nixon, using piles of dubiously sourced cash to pay people to be quiet about illegal deeds. His lawyer Herbert Kalmbach went to jail, along with others, for that; breaking down in tears while giving testimony.
So far I’ve not heard about any tears of remorse or shame from anyone in the current administration or of any possible shame from Trump’s outgoing lawyer Michael Cohen about hush money being paid to ‘Stormy Daniels’ to keep her quiet about having sex with Donald Trump. They admit the payment, but won’t talk about why. Just look at the light and don’t think about Nixon.
Indeed a president having had consensual extramarital sex was considered an impeachable offense when the Republicans were trying to bring down Bill Clinton and were financially supporting Paula Jones so that she could sue him – something technically not allowed because he was a sitting president but perhaps we now remember that rule. It’s different now and the past doesn’t matter.

This morning some Republican congressman told MSNBC such things as pay to play romances with porn stars were between Trump and his wife and none of our concern. We need to move along. Never mind the moral outrage this time, because this time we’re very Christian and non-judgmental because it’s only sin and not the law. And of course, improper talking to witnesses who have testified in an investigation against you and paying off witnesses and threatening them with huge lawsuits is no longer the sort of high crime the constitution talks about. It’s OK now. It’s different. Listen to the Huck pass the buck. It’s all settled, Trump won, nothing happened.

…said the White Queen to Alice. And a poor sort of argument it is that’s based on that venerable refuge of crooked Republicans: It’s OK when we do it. It’s not a scandal, not an outrage, not something to be concerned about, it doesn’t matter and it probably never happened anyway. It’s fake news.
There’s little reasonable doubt that Trump has forced himself on women and girls. He’s bragged about it. He’s cheated on every wife and because he has resources and a cabal of consiglieri, he gets away with intimidation and all the other things he has done about which there is little doubt except from his “base” or al-Qaeda as we say in Arabic. Cheating, lying, stealing and buying his way out of consequences is the armature the gilded plaster statue of Trump is built upon.
So with the anti-president, now ends the “family values” pretext; the war on pornography, the pretend protection of marriage and the rest of the Biblical bombast they used to build their campaign platforms on when the Devil-worshiping Democrats were in power. It’s OK when we do it, it’s criminal when you do it and when you say we did, we’ll say we didn’t and with lawyers lies and money it becomes true.

A. She goes on Howard Stern and gives graphic details and Donald including the fact that he probably lousy in bed;
B. She waits for offers from publishers to write a book detailing the affair
C. She goes on the road with her act as the “I screwed President Trump”
D. Another of Donald’s pals offers her a lot more money to go away.
E. Corey Lewandowski takes her deep sea fishing and she never returns.
I believe I read that C, the I screwed Trump tour is already under way. Watch for her on a pole near you.
