Is Britain Helping Putin Murder People?

Read Time:2 Minute, 24 Second

by Neil Bamforth

Sergei Skripel was a ‘double agent.’ He got caught spying for the West and was imprisoned in Russia. He was freed as part of a ‘spy swap’ deal with the USA. Quite why he ended up living in the UK is a mystery. Mind you, there is an even greater mystery now surrounding Sergei Skripel.

Sergei is in the hospital and likely to die after being infected with a nerve agent. His daughter, also infected, will also probably die.

A British police officer, who came to their aid, is also in hospital but, given current information, will hopefully survive.

All the evidence available to us – the ordinary people – points to an assassination by Russia.

They have, of course, got previous.

Alexander Litvinenko was certainly assassinated with a radioactive substance some years back.

The evidence is all pointing to Russia, the Kremlin, the KGB and, of course, Vladimir Putin.

A person assassinated on British soil by the use of a nerve agent and what is the British government saying it will do about it? Boycott the football World Cup that’s what.

Wow! That’ll show ’em eh?

The thing is, we’re assuming it is Russia.

Well, let’s face it. A rare nerve agent – yet to be identified – can’t be produced logistically, scientifically or financially without state support.

Only four countries on the planet have the ability and facilities to produce such a thing.

The USA, the UK, France, and Russia.

Which of the above would desire to murder a former Russian double agent who was caught spying for the west?

Isn’t it a ‘no-brainer’?

I thought so until I heard an unexpected call on a radio show.

Without hearing this call the entire thing sounded like an unlikely plot from a John Le Carre spy novel already but listen to this.

Sergei’s wife and son are both dead and buried.

What about his wife and son were killed to get him back into the spying fold?

He was living in Salisbury. Very close to Porton Down – Britain’s biological warfare research facility.

A traitor within Porton Down steals a nerve agent, hands it to Sergei who then hands it on to Russian agents.

Unfortunately, it leaks and he and his daughter fall victim to its effects.

Absolute rubbish. It’s Putin and Russia. He was assassinated by Russia.

But what if?

About 250 military personnel are wandering around the area Sergei and his daughter were found.

250? Why 250? Are they looking for something that went missing or evidence of a Russian assassination?

Surely the latter. Surely.

I don’t do conspiracy theories so I know Putin’s regime is responsible. They’ve got previous.

I know it was Putin and Russia.

The suggested alternative on the radio is just silly. It’s like one of the more unlikely plots from a John Le Carre novel.

Just like the official theory really.

Oh.

Bloody good question? What can our government do? I don’t expect we’ll go to war with Russia.

Putin is at war. His fingerprints are all over the divisions in Europe and the USA. Militarily, he’s agitating countries on Russia’s western borders and he’s deeply involved in Syria. He wants his Empire back and that can only be achieved with a divided Europe and special friends looking the other way.

I doubt Britain is actively helping Comrade Putin.
