Trump Set To Fire McMaster Despite Denials

Trump has decided to replace National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster but won’t fire him immediately to avoid embarrassing the three-star Army general, five people with knowledge of the matter told The Washington Post.
Trump also wants to have a replacement waiting in the wings, with possibilities including Fox News regular John Bolton and Keith Kellogg, the chief of staff to the National Security Council. Trump reportedly never meshed with McMaster and would complain about him being too rigid and his briefings being too long.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders said no change is imminent, tweeting:
“Just spoke to @POTUS and Gen. H.R. McMaster — contrary to reports they have a good working relationship and there are no changes at the NSC.”
