Will Trump Heed The New York Times Warning? What Do You Think?

Read Time:1 Minute, 31 Second

by Michael John Scott

The New York Times editorial board warned the president, this morning, saying he ” is not above the law.”  Unfortunately for America, Trump would likely not read it, because he considers the NYT ‘fake news.’

The board explained,

“news reports point to a growing possibility that President [Donald] Trump may act to cripple or shut down an investigation by the nation’s top law-enforcement agencies into his campaign and administration.”

The thought that the president can fire everyone involved and that the investigation will cease is absurd and impossible, the board alluded. It also noted that lawmakers should get ready for the moment to present itself.

“Lawmakers need to be preparing now for that possibility because if and when it comes to pass, they will suddenly find themselves on the edge of an abyss, with the Constitution in their hands,”

“Make no mistake: If Mr. Trump takes such drastic action, he will be striking at the foundation of the American government, attempting to set a precedent that a president, alone among American citizens, is above the law,”

the board continued.

“What can seem now like a political sideshow will instantly become a constitutional crisis, and history will come calling.”

The editorial also noted, however, that Trump “has been known to huff and puff, to bluff and bluster, and he may be doing no more than that now.”

He could, however, also be doing something far worse and outright illegal.  After all take a look at his advisors, such as Stephen Miller, a clone of SS-Obergruppenführer Reinhard Heydrich, and who know who else rides Air Force One with the President of the United States, is happening at this very moment.  So, asking the question again: Will Trump heed the warning of The New York Times?  What do you think?

Of course he won’t. He doesn’t just seem irrational, irresponsible and paranoid – he is.

I think of the scene from Scarface with Trump, like Al Pacino, busted for Tax evasion. barricaded behind his desk. . . “Say hello to my leetle fren'”

I think it unlikely tRump will heed the NYT warning. He is contemplating the timing right now.

As Comey said, “he is morally unfit to serve as president”.

The real question should be will Congress take the advice?

History will paint all parties to this with a very broad brush. Trump is toast already, and if he cuts Mueller, well, I think history will also record the activity in the streets. Only Congress can prevent this, only Congress can save their own asses.

And I hope they take the button away from Trump too! Real quick!

I think it clear that the 25th amendment will not be a factor with the current cabal of crooks, (sorry)I mean Cabinet, will not act against ” ‘da boss”.

He’s going to go on a twitter rampage after what I just saw in the local news a little bit ago. CA has said fuck you, as far as posting the National Guard at our border. As is typical, the right wing is getting their panties in knots… CA should leave the US, hope it burns down, when will the big earthquake strike, Brown has no authority to do this it comes from the president etc. They don’t even know he cannot call up the guard, that’s is the state gov’s decision. Meanwhile, most Californians go about their day, happy that Brown is standing up to Sir Tweetsalot.
