James Comey Stuns ABC News Crew After Comparing Trump to ‘Mob Boss’

Stormy Daniels’ 60-Minutes interview was one of the most eagerly awaited of the year.  Michael Wolf’s book, Fire and Fury, plus his subsequent interviews, was read and watched by millions.  This Sunday, however, could take the prize for “most watched” as former FBI Director James Comey gets ready to promote his book scheduled to be released this week, and, given that he left people “stunned” during a recently taped interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos it should be a great show.

A new report claims that the former FBI director compared President Donald Trump to a “mob boss” in the upcoming interview, and one source tells the publication that the interview will “certainly add more meat to the charges swirling around Trump.”

According to the folks at Axios, Comey is going to reveal information that he has never discussed before — and the publication’s source predicts that Comey is “going to shock the president and his team.”

Comey’s book, titled “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership,” is set to release on April 17. White House aides are reportedly already concerned about Trump’s reaction to Comey’s book, and one former administration official said this week that they expected the book to be “more damaging” than Michael Wolff’s book “Fire and Fury,” which topped bestseller lists earlier this year.

The ABC interview with Comey is scheduled to air at 10 p.m. on Sunday, April 15, and I will be watching, as, I expect will millions of others.  If one listens carefully the howl of outrage from the White House might bring us even greater satisfaction.

Looking forward to this! He’s supposed to be on Colbert on the 17th.

Mob boss does seem an appropriate comparison. Interestingly it appears he will go down the way Capone and his ilk have often, by the determined efforts of agents who started with the little guys and worked their way up.

My curiosity so far is that there has been little mention of or brought against Miller, Kushner, Don Jr. or Pence = especially Pence. I suspect that their times are coming. I hope so!

    Especially Pence!

I’m hoping for all of them katie, all of them put in front of me. That includes Ryan and McConnell because those bastards knew the info they were getting was tainted and likely knew monies from certain groups NRA had dirty money going to the RNC. Yes, even with Ryan leaving does not stop him from being investigated at all.
These guys are nowhere near as competent as the mob and dolt45 is no John Gotti boss mob who got taken down by, ayup that’s right, Mueller. I won’t be watching this at all, I am still pissed he inserted himself into the election with his last minute bullshit against Hillary. I’ll wait for excerpts next day.

I am truly beginning to believe what Trump once said that he could shoot someone on, I think he said 5th Avenue, in downtown New York and still get elected. The part about him being called a “mob boss” may be more than true except more in the vein of modern day mob bosses. More the Al Pacino type than the Marlon Brando type.

Excellent piece, Michael. I am beginning to wonder since it has been disclosed now that Boente corroborates Comey’s notes more on that front, as well as whether the Cohen raid exposes further Republicans in Congress and the Senate since he is after all or was, the Deputy Finance Campaign Manager. It should make for an interesting interview.
