Here’s Why A Lying Donald Trump Is Your Problem
by Glenn R. Geist
When someone looks you in the eyes and tells you something you know isn’t true and you know he knows it isn’t true and that he’s lying for personal gain? Well, you know who I’m talking about – no not him, I’m talking about you. Why are you quiet? Why are you going about your business as though it didn’t matter and this is all normal politics and he’s just trying to do his job and it will all be all right? No, it won’t.
OK, so maybe you didn’t turn on the TV yesterday and notice you took a 6 figure hit because Trump wants to take revenge against a newspaper for telling the truth. It isn’t personal with you, but it’s personal for the millions of us who own the stock and the millions of us who have jobs supported by Amazon and the hundreds of millions of us whose future is tied in with the future of this Republic, its laws and institutions. So look, Trump is committing crimes and misdemeanors openly and before your eyes – and lots of them.
He’s using his office for personal gain and personal revenge and he’s a liar. I don’t care about your petty feuds and prejudices. I don’t care about your ignorant and futile jihads and prejudices and opinions.

Trump is a dangerous liar. It’s not fake news and if you think so, you’re a fake patriot no matter how many guns you own. So enough of your implicit support for Drain the Swamp Donny. He is the swamp. No, Hillary didn’t give half a million bucks to McCabe or his wife. The New York Times isn’t failing and the Washington Post isn’t fake news. The Post Office isn’t losing money on Amazon shipping and if you shake his little hands, count your fingers and don’t let your wife or daughter be alone with him.
But most of all, don’t pretend this isn’t your problem. It is and it’s your responsibility. Say something. Do something and shout it from the rooftops. Don’t let friends or enemies support the murder of your country, the theft of your freedom and your legacy as an American.
Frankly, standing up to tRump and tRumpism is like pissing in the wind. Sooner or later you’ve had enough of the constant blowback from hypocrites and ignoramuses.
Run silent, run deep.
Standing up to Trumpism must be done. To do this the only thing sane and sensible people have, is the ballot box. Meanwhile, the most dangerous man in world, sits in the Kremlin plotting his next move. He’s already influenced multiple elections, including our own. No doubt Sunday’s Hungarian election winner will be Putin’s man. Then he can turn his gaze on our mid-terms. Trump is a dangerous man, but not as dangerous as Putin. He could steal our only weapon, the ballot box.
He could justify it because that act forbids using the Army to enforce domestic policy. Repelling the imaginary Mexican shock troops now pouring across the border isn’t domestic policy.
Posse Comitatus, if I’m not mistaken, allows a sheriff to deputize citizens to form a well regulated militia which of course requires us all to keep and bear arms.
To arms boys and girls! The Mexicans are coming! (never mind the Russians. There are no Russians. These aren’t the Russians you’re looking for)
Wait though Glenn, don’t the governors of those states have a say if the National Guard is to be activated and can’t he only activate them if there is some kind of national security thing going on? Guess he could make shit up about… the country is at stake if we allow big calved, drug mules (King from Iowa) throwing drugs over invisible walls to justify it to his base of morons.
I thought so, but then so much of our state guards were deployed to our various wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I really don’t know any more. Since that suicidal “patriot act” it seems like all our laws are conditional.
No Trump is sending the military to guard the southern border in a ploy to force Congress to fund his stupid fucking wall. This circus act has to fall off the trapeze without a net.
Has he never heard of 1878 posse comitatus act. This guy gives me a headache every time I look at new news.
We do talk, day after day, and we write, so we are doing something. I wonder what it will take to motivate us to do what the Parkland students did? March, march, march…
Wounds. Most are invisible, some may be fatal. I hope we can save something, but I doubt too.
I’ve written letters, published articles, mine, yours, and a few dozen others that speak against this creature, but so are millions of others. I’m like Thomas. I have doubts, and need to see and touch the wounds before I can believe.
