America: Galloping Downhill In A Frenzy

Read Time:1 Minute, 54 Second

by Glenn R. Geist

Justice is only for REAL Americans tweets Trump.  He may look disgusting in tights, but he’s able to jump over the law in a single bound because compliance is not expedient. Not at the border, not as concerns dealings with foreign agents, accepting money from foreign interests and using foreign policy for personal gain.

But the Devil is in the comments. Trump announcing that we should bypass the courts and send refugees home without a hearing or trial isn’t half as scary as the comments I read on the CBS YouTube article and elsewhere this morning. It’s beyond the realm of opinion, it’s just madness to insist, as so many do, that only citizens deserve due process and that “criminals” don’t deserve their day in court. It’s madness, it’s ignorance, it’s beyond stupid and it’s even beyond Fascism. It’s a denial of civilization, as we knew it in what we used to call the Free World and a call for mob rule. And of course, it’s unconstitutional. Remember those “Obama is shredding the constitution” calls for his impeachment? Same puppets dancing, same old Devil pulling the strings.

Due process is not a privilege!

A large number of the deplorables insisted that it was a disgrace to those who died in defense of freedom to offer due process to “criminals” even though refugees from a situation created by our country are not actually criminals, but don’t point out what should be obvious to a lump of slime mold, they’re very sensitive people and they tend to be armed because they’re cowards afraid of little girls.

No, don’t try the accused, just summarily punish whom you don’t like or whom you fear. And don’t be afraid to kidnap their kids because – well just because.  It’s “stand your ground” as seen by cornered rats. It’s undisguised racism, it’s the end of any moral authority we ever pretended to have.  Don’t blame Trump. Blame the Devil and the Devil is and always has been us.

There are famous quotes from Germans in the 1930’s to the effect that the progress toward Fascism was in small steps, each rationalized and justified by some emergency. That was Germany. Here we’re galloping down hill in a frenzy and the next stop is Hell.

Seeing as my German is limited to the important things in life, eg asking for food and drink, I will revert to the second language of my catholic youth, Latin.

This is what republicans can go do:

Vescere Bracis Meis.

Köter? That’s like a mongrel dog. Not really a nice word to use with humans, but Puerto Rico is under the thumb of the Beast.

I got it, but that’s not really a polite word. Actually I’m trying to think of a word indicating mixed origins that doesn’t smell bad in German, considering their history. Mischlinge? Still since that was once an accusation that could get you sent to the camps I would avoid it.

Poor Puerto Rico. What are we doing with colonies anyway? Statehood or independence if you ask me, but no one ever asks me.

Google can get you into trouble. I’d prefer to say we’re all Americans here even if I sometimes wish I could remedy my species dysphoria. A pair of ragged claws, perhaps – with a nod to TS Eliot.

I know some of my bio family still lives there in the middle of Puerto Rico, places called Cidra, Ponce and some in San Juan. I haven’t met any of them and don’t want to but I have been sending donations to certain groups that are helping out because it is shameful what is happening over there fucking shameful. The ‘rents took me there a few times, to see where I came from, and I thought it was one of the most beautiful places I will ever in life see. Well that is till I saw Yosemite, Italy, Thailand when mom and I took dad’s ashes to scatter them, the Sea of Cortez etc.

What I want to know is where are the fucking goopers and why are they not reining this asshole in. Rhetorical question people, I know they don’t really care but I do. I do know that me, myself and I are not going to be the “good German” no matter the cost 🙂

There are no good Republicans anymore, not sure there ever were, liars, manipulators, corrupt pigs.

Sometimes I think it would be easier if one were deaf, dumb, and ignorant.

It is becoming increasingly evident the majority of trumpanzees are willfully, and apparently blissfully, so.

The only way out of the tRump madness is 1) impeachment followed by turning rebubs out of office, 2) leaving the USA, or… 3) something Americans did all those many years ago.

Civil and human rights matter. Not so long ago it did to our majority of our leaders as well.

I have spent more than a half century working, teaching, writing, and consulting in and on the criminal justice system. As I pointed out in an earlier comment on another post I have always tried to approach this with an objective view of things because that is the way the law is suppose work, you know, the blindfolded lady Justia and all. I can not count the number of times people of various educations, economic status, race, religion, or creed I have had to explain this rights thing too. The rights are for everyone, but they are most useful to the innocents. The fourth amendment rights are not their to protect the guilty, because at that point there are no guilty parties, but to keep the state from sending officers into a person’s home, or worse yet, officers simply deciding they are decide they want to walk around and search inside a citizens home without a warrant based on probable cause the said citizen has done something wrong. The right to a hearing does little to protect a person who has committed a crime but it does a heck of a lot for a person who has done nothing wrong and is simply because and officer thought said citizen had nothing better to do than be drug off to the jailhouse. People simply can’t get it through their heads that no one is guilty of anything until found to be so by a judge and/or jury. Even then they are entitled to certain human rights because this country was built on a foundation of civilized behavior, or at least it was.

If we’ve retained any concept of justice since our descent into barbarism, it looks a lot more like vengeance it she sure don’t wear no blindfold. If you’re white, you’re all right, otherwise we’ll give you a ten second head start.

Yes, if I were younger I would go get some German practice and it wouldn’t be “Heil Drumpf”

The president of the United States of America, land of the free, home of the brave, and etc., has just forcefully proposed the end of political asylum and no due process for migrants. What in the name of all that’s decent? I swear if I weren’t so long in the tooth I would go back to England.
