Is MSNBC’s Stephanie Rule Really An Angry MAGAist Screaming Lock Her Up?

by David Greenberg

Hey, Stephanie Ruhle. I gotta question: before you were the most trusted face in journalism, you were a Wall Street shark. You made a fortune on Payday Loans, Micro-trades, Junk Bonds, and Penny Stocks. Leonardo DiCaprio’s character in “The Wolf of Wall Street” – that was you!

So, my question is this: back in November of 2016, who did YOU pull the lever for? Did you vote for the Socialist with the emails, or did you vote for the “accomplished businessman?”

I know Morning Joe LITERALLY woke up on the “wrong” side of the bed, one morning. He was Hannity-lite until 18-months ago. So, who did Morning Joe vote for?

While the Fascist candidate was calling for mass executions and the banning of whole segments of the population, it was YOU who were beating the email story to death. So, tell me. In the privacy of the voting booth, for whom did you punch the ticket?

I watched your whole show this morning. I watched you dance around calling Trump’s dick-pulling contest with KJU, a “success.” I watched you praise the “returning of the bones,” as a “remarkable achievement.” I watched all your so-called “experts” temper each sentence with “In fairness to the President…” “These two leaders…”

But, I didn’t see your report on how Paul Ryan used this shiny object as a cover, while he quietly revoked all the Obama era protections against Wall Street, drafted in the wake of the Financial Crisis of 2007. And I seem to have missed the story you covered about the McConnell judge ruling – over the grave of Net Neutrality – in favor of the AT&T merger.

How come I haven’t seen the timeline of the ZTE deal on your show? Is ZTE one of those Penny Stocks? Do you secretly fantasize about owning a condo on a North Korean beach? Maybe you could post it on Air B&B.

Do I sound “tribal” to you? Well, I am. I’m sick of watching Democrats lose because we keep “going high.” I’ve been fighting the good fight almost as long as Bernie himself. I was at my first Civil Rights protest when I was 13-years-old. I was a “Librul” before you were born. All my life, I have been Captain Kirk, while you were Commander Kang.

I watched for 8-years as Republicans excoriated, insulted, and abused the only President I’ve been truly proud of, since JFK. And when Obama tried doing the same thing Trump did last night – only with results – the whole braying Fox News cast cried “treason,” and called for impeachment. But when Trump does it, it’s “historical.” And Obama didn’t tear apart all our alliances to do it.

So, let’s have it, Steph. Were you part of the American majority who supported sanity and reason, or were you an angry MAGAist, screaming “Lock ‘er up?”

Know what has been really bugging me about this whole dog and pony show. Few weeks ago dolt45 was going on and on about lil rocket man and his rally crowds were booing and hollering like he was the second coming because he hated lil rocket man so they should too. Cut to today, they are creaming themselves and having tingly feelings in their naughty bits about the coming together of dolt45 and that same lil rocket man. I just do not get it, the cult mentality lives and thrives with these idiots. Also too, fuck going high get dirty because no matter what we do they will always fight us unfairly.

You would think all people of principle, regardless of political party, would fight damn hard against the the gradual destructive agenda the GOP and tRump are pushing.

There are decent conservatives. Aren’ t there?

I don’t know just how decent some of them are, but as long as Trump has his hand in the till and his finger on the button, his enemies are my friends. When that means I can nod in agreement with George Will, it’s a strange world out there. One thing I do know, as long as Democrats are too pure at heart to work with anyone tainted by the sins of Wall Street or the bogeymen of Capitalism in general, Democrats will be irrelevant losers, feeling sorry for themselves as they sip their gluten free vitamin water and cry.

Well, Rule is on our side now as is Bill Crystal and George Will. There are probably a lot of “normal” conservatives on our side but they dare not speak for fear of retaliation by Trump. What they do not understand is that if they stood tall against Trump and outed his ridiculous policies for what they are, i.e., a big scam, his poll numbers would drop back in a reasonable range of about 25%. What the don’t realize is that their supporters, at least some of them, are following them the the orange headed idol.
I remember something from the Obama days that may explain his antagonism toward our allies. During the discussions for Obama Care a number of far right people were basically saying that we did not want European Socialism. Trump is playing right into that narrative but in a backwards way. The authoritarian regimes that he so cherishes are communist, at least in name if not in practice. Communism and Fascism both start out the same and end up the same. With a dictatorial government. Most of the hard right people have not figured that out yet but take a step back and look at where we are heading, and damn, that’s us.

Principles and politics are not two words that go together anymore.
