Saudi Arabia—Where Decapitation Is the Order of the Day

Read Time:1 Minute, 27 Second

Let me be clear, Saudi Arabia is an important ally and we need to avoid irritating them in many ways. We must not attempt to reduce our purchases of oil for one thing. That’s been the policy since the GWB administration and President Cheney often reiterated his belief that reducing consumption wasn’t “the American way.”

Of course, oilmen like Cheney and Bush were frequently photographed with Saudi princes and officials and even kissing them on the lips. Prince Bandar was lovingly called a Bush family member – and he was. Of course, when we have a Democrat in office it’s different. It’s Drill baby drill even when there’s a huge glut, but now that they admit the truth isn’t the truth, they don’t have to explain anymore, now do they?  And besides, Hillary’s emails.

But they’re Allies! Not like Canada and Western Europe who are “screwing us” and were not involved in 9/11 like Saudi Arabia was. So, of course, we don’t want to alienate them by suggesting that women who protest their nearly complete lack of civil rights really shouldn’t have their heads cut off with a sword.

Israa al-Ghomgham

Israa al-Ghomgham and her husband were arrested in 2015 for”attempting to inflame public opinion, filming protests and publishing on social media and providing moral support to rioters.”

Pretty much what everybody does here, from the president to the village idiot even when those are two separate people—So they’re going to kill them despite the hokum about reform. Sure some woman can now drive In Saudi Arabia – sometimes, but some women are going to have their heads hacked off.

But don’t say anything, they’re our allies.

The Saudi’s generally practice wahhabism so there is zero chance they’ll reform.

Any execution is appalling, but seeking the death penalty for activists like Israa al-Ghomgham, who are not even accused of violent behavior, is monstrous. So safety the rational world, and what makes it all even more curious, and perhaps unlikely, is the new leader, Mohammed bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, has been attempting to modernize the kingdom since coming into power. He just might save her from the monstrous practices of his nation.

It’s all about that f*cking Jesus and his idiotic back story based on a book mainly written by ancient desert dwellers, and modified hundreds of times by Trump-like leaders. What gets me are the millions of intelligent people who believe this silliness! I’m convinced evolution has added that looney crap to the human brain because without it there’s no explanation. And it’s also the hypocrisy and Glenn brings that out nicely so no more needs to be said.

On the whole I agree with you. I’m not advocating deserting Israel, only to stand up to the likes of Netanyahu, and stop giving the world the impression we are the ones sucking at the teat. As to Christian America, sadly a part of the equation, I must say as an avowed Atheist I find the entire paradigm so bizarre as to defy logic. There is no truth in Jesus. None. But then again, truth isn’t truth is it?

Israel drives much of our Middle East policy, and as a result our Middle East policy is a complete disaster and has been for many years. As long as we allow Israel to suck at the American teat little will change. This is one bird that needs to be kicked out of the nest.

It’s hard to believe what’s happening in Saudi Arabia, but then again, it’s Saudi Arabia. Did anyone hear any sort of condemnation from Trump or his gang? None. Yet another shameful chapter in history, one of many in a book that never seems to end.
