This NRA Fundraising Letter Threatens Legislators Who Fail To Donate

The NRA has recently disclosed that it is in financial distress, and that it may have to curtail or even halt some of its operations and activities, and that it may even cease to exist.  Thanks to a mole in the NRA offices, I have a copy of a fundraising letter drafted by the office of NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre.  It was forwarded to me at considerable risk, so that makes it imperative that I share it here.

Wayne LaPierre
Executive Vice President
National Rifle Association of America

Fairfax VA 22030-9400

Dear Legislator,

In the past, you have been a staunch supporter of the NRA.  Throughout the dismal years of 2009-2017, you kept the Kenyan president from confiscating the guns of loyal, patriotic citizens.  You shot down laws that would have created waiting periods, expanded background checks, gun-free zones, restricted gun ownership and made open carry in National Parks legal so that patriotic tourists could protect themselves against terrorist attacks by wild animals (which probably came from Canada or Mexico).

We have given you electoral victories by firing up in our members and supporters a climate of intense fear – fear of crime, fear of government tyranny, fear of having their guns confiscated, fear of immigrants, Muslim terrorists and other undesirables.  I’m sure that’s a form of climate change you can believe in.

Under our glorious President Trump, you have helped lock and load legislation to remove restrictions on gun ownership by people with mental illnesses, by minors or by people with a history of domestic violence.  We are reloading proposals for open and concealed carry, arming of teachers and students and we look forward to a day when ownership is mandatory for all citizens except liberals, Democrats and Green Party tree-huggers.

Just remember, though, that you couldn’t do it without us.  We have injected hundreds of thousands of dollars into your campaigns and your PACs to keep you in office as long as you vote as we tell you to vote, and you have been hitting the bulls-eye about that.

But now the situation has changed.  Thanks to fraudulent lawsuits from the liberal governor of New York and financial regulators of that state, your favorite and most generous lobbyist organization, the NRA, could soon run out of ammunition and be unable to exist or pursue its advocacy mission.  We will suffer irrecoverable loss and irreparable harm.  If these conditions continue, the NRA cannot maintain its physical premises, convene off-site meetings and events, operate educational programs or hold rallies, conventions, and assemblies.  Should the NRA cease to exist, hundreds of patriotic Republican lawmakers, yourself included, will lose a substantial source of revenue.

So now it’s time to return the generosity we have shown you; it’s time to help us in our time of financial need.  We have helped you attain a position of wealth and power, and we are counting on you to help us continue to keep you there.  And since these funds will be applied strictly to operational costs, they are fully tax-deductible according to 26 U.S.C. § 501(c)4, the provisions of which govern the NRA.  As a gun owner and user, you know the satisfaction of hitting your target; help us take aim and shoot down these fraudulent lawsuits.  Remember that if we don’t have the money to run, neither do you.  Come gunning on our behalf so we don’t have to start gunning for you. After all, we have a lot of guns and we know where you live.

Sincerely,

Wayne LaPierre
Executive Vice President
National Rifle Association of America

I wonder why the name Wayne appears so often when talking about killers: John Wayne Gacy, Wayne Williams, Wayne Adam Ford – I could go on, but Mr. LaPierre is so repulsive I might as well stop right there. I remember that in ’95 George HW Bush resigned in anger from the NRA for not repudiating him after Wayne justified the Murrah Building bombing. You’d have thought others would follow, but no. Instead they made that little lizard CEO of the NRA.

I am NOT however opposed to letting people carry firearms in the wilderness, for several reasons.

I think thoughts and prayers should suffice, after all it’s what they do all the time right?

Yep. Looks like they’re the ones wanting those “thoughts and prayers” after all. Payback is a bitch!

Oops! – somehow “LaPierre” got changed to “Lapper” in the signature. It was a goof cause by spell-checking that I missed.
